Let the music play.........

Evenin' Everyone!  Hope your all ok?

So back to work and guess what?  Despite me taking the time off so Pauline wouldn't catch it before she goes on her cruise, she's gone and caught it off someone else LOL......at least she's not blaming me though *phew*  She left at 4pm today so that's 2 weeks and 2 days without her - should be nice and relaxed, but saying that she hasn't been that bad recently.  Dave cheered me up no end though coz he said (very sarcastically), "Oh she'll be in a lovely mood when she comes back to work." I was like, "cheers mate, cheer me up why don't you!" LOL

Everyone was quite nice and asked if I was ok!!  I have a bit of a cough now and it's one of those that if you don't keep drinking you get a dry tickly bit at the back.  Well I was getting that at lunchtime and started to panic coz I had no drink to cure it.  Panicking makes me worse!!  So I know I'm about to have a coughing fit, so I hurriedly get my juice out of my draw and make my way to the water cooler.  Whilst there and trying desperately not to cough, Elaine asks if I'm feeling better.  I mutter something about being fine and thanks, and out comes my cough........LOL yep really sounded like I was fine at that point. ;-)

Sandra was quite sweet though she said that last Tuesday I looked a bit withdrawn and thought she should ask if I was ok but didn't!!  She said she felt guilty about it........bless!!  That was the day I felt dizzy at lunchtime.  She has also warned me that I'll probably have this cold for at least another week or so.....marvellous!!

So what else is there to tell you?  Not a lot really!!  Oooo I finished the Shawshank Redemption.  Not bad, but not your typical Stephen King.  I love his books, I wish I could write like that!  I've now moved onto Apt Pupil which is in the same book, it's a collection of short stories by the man.  I love reading I really should do it more often.  I've asked Richard if I can borrow the Shawshank film off him, I thought I had it but on looking for it last week when I was off ill it turns out I haven't.......grrrr......LOL!

So Queen were 7th in that 50 best selling artists.  Not bad I suppose.......it was nice to see snippets of Roger though :-P  I especially liked his comment when talking about Freddie he said "He was the main mail man and we were his sorting office".  LOL

Oooooo mustn't forget there's a programme on at 10.30pm about Monty Python.  I like them.........:-)

Well I shall leave you all here and post a joke that was sent to me.  (no doubt I've posted it already but who cares??)!!

Take care everyone

Jen xx (leaving you with an important message!!)

Now the joke :-)

It will take a while for the cough to go........sorry, I've had the flu recent, trust me you'll bark for at least another week so keep the drink handy, but I'm glad your getting over it.  I haven't read the Shawshank Redemption but the film is great, I like the Green Mile too, I put them on the same equal 10 out of 10.  Smiling at the joke lol. xxR

Big Stephen King fan here!!!
I loved The Shawshank Redemption, and also loved The Green Mile.
I remember that The Green Mile was first published as a series of books, you bought one a month or one a fortnight - I can't remember which!  It was such a good idea, we were always itching to read the next installment!!

That dry itchy throat must be a real pain if you have to use the telephone a lot - dunno if you do though. A mega coughing fit while talking to someone important probably wouldn't go down too well! Hope it doesn't take that long to clear up anyway.
