Teasing, Evaluation, Bike and Toyboys

Hello all :o)

Eden Project on Tuesday was good and the Chiefs were superb :o)  More about that at a later date when I manage to do a write up.........gotta make a note of the memories first!  For now though I shall tease you with a pic ;)

 :o)

Not one of ours I hasten to add.............bet you can't guess where we were standing ;)  lol  No it's not one of those type of competitions where you have to guess where the football is!!!  I honestly believe our arms (or at least Wayne's) is in this photo tee heee heee........

So Wednesday was calming down from that but also worrying about work..........Don't ask me why I was worrying about work.  I never panic when I'm there why should I start now?  Well we had received an email on Monday from big boss to say that our Job Evaluation results were going to be posted and be with us by Wednesday.  So I get home expecting to see post on my mat and there was nothing there :(

Get to work this morning and P tells me it's all been a c*** up again!!!!  Some letters were going to be received today and the rest have to wait till next week.  So far we've heard that the Assessment team leaders have been upgraded, our team leaders have been down graded and us?  D took a call from his wife who was home to open the post as it arrived and she read it out and I could see he was happy and he kept pointing to the ceiling as if to say we had gone up.  I looked at him as I wasn't quite sure he meant it, he didn't sound excited or anything.  When he came off the call P and I went over and sure enough we've gone up into the next pay scale :o)  *dances round like a silly thing* WOOHOO................... This means we are getting it back paid, which unfortunately will be heavily taxed :(  but hey, it will be nice to get a little extra :o)

Unfortunately we are not allowed to celebrate like we should at work as it's not fair to others which is fair enough.  Several people came up to me to congratulate us :o)  I have to say though that I hope our colleagues in the assessment team have gone up otherwise it's not fair and I wouldn't want to be in their shoes if they haven't.  I imagined that they had and we hadn't and it wouldn't have been nice :(  So fingers crossed for them.

The other good news tonight is that mobile bicycle repair man came to fix my bike :o)  He arrived at 6.15pm and took the bike away.  At 8.30pm he was back :o)  Which was quick considering he said it would be around 9pm.  He said that there was grit in the bearings which was why it was skipping when I was peddling so he cleaned that out but didn't charge me for it :o)  My gear cable was loose so he's tightened that up for me :o)  It cost me £20 YAY which means with the money mum gave me to get it fixed I can now get my hair cut at the weekend :o) :o)  WOOHOO..................

Jenny's a happy bunny and apologises for the amount of smiley faces in this entry lol.......

and now for something even funnier............I have a toyboy ;)  LOL.........that got you all going...........it's not real unfortunately!!!  On Monday night at Trina's I was on the web on facebook and playing on Yoville which is a bit like sims where you own a character and can interact with others.  Well this guy came up to my character and said I was gorgeous LOL..........he then proceeded to add me as a friend but I declined him.  He asked me why I had said no, and I told him it was because I don't know him and wouldn't just add anyone.  So he told me his name and that he lives in the UK and he's (can't remember if he said 19 or 21) years old LOL..................so I joked that he could be my toyboy.  What was funnier is that whenever other male characters came near me he would tell them to get lost ROFL...............In the end I've added him as a friend but I've not seen him since :(  Hey ho it's all a laugh at the end of the day ;)

So that's it for now peeps ~ hope your having a good week xx

Meals, Drinks, Blisters and Woohooness

Oh dear...............I'm behind in alerts AGAIN.............this is becoming a weekly occurance, whether it's due to no-computer night or damn facebook and it's silly applications I have no idea!!!  It's gonna get worse this week too what with me not being home for two nights................Hey-ho!!!

Look there's a mood just for me :o)  Rockin' lol

So how's you?  I'm alright, well better than I was and there's no better cure for misery than spending a lovely evening with some friends.  Wednesday night Trina rung to say that Sarah (our queenie buddy from Bristol), was going to Cornwall for the weekend for her birthday, and she said she'd stop in Torquay on Thursday and perhaps we could all go for a meal :o)  I left work on Thursday with Wayne and back to Torquay.

Once Trina came home from her second job (cleaning in the evenings), we got changed and made our way down to town.  This was after I had caused a fuss about how Trina had promised me they would video the Bill for me :o)  I couldn't miss it, it's a five parter and that was part four.  Plus I like Smithy and he's the main character in the storyline at the mo lol........anyway Trina, Wayne and I met up with Sarah and Terry in Weatherspoons.  We had a few drinks in there and a bit of a laugh about this, that and everything.

We then made our way to get food, it was like 9pm at this point lol.........After waiting for Sarah to make a decision as it was her birthday we went into Hooks.  (Trina and I went there like 3 years ago for her hen night and I quite fancied the waiter we had, low and behold he served us that night too, but he's let himself go a bit lol)  We had a laugh, waiting for the food and choosing drinks.  Sarah, Trina and I had cocktail, blue lagoon, which was lush :o)  It made us laugh coz they had a non-alcoholic one which they had called 'safe-sex on the beach' LOL

Anyhoo...........for starters we had loaded wedges with cheese and bacon ~ yummy :)   for main course I had the pirates own carribean chicken which was nice, but I didn't go much on the veg in with the chicken in the sauce.  You can't have everything I guess lol............

After the meal and complete now with our pirate hats (Hooks has a bit of a pirate theme about it, bet you didn't guess that lol), we walked towards a pub that Trina had reccomended.  Unfortunately that didn't work out coz whatever was supposed to be on wasn't, so we ended up in the pub next door where kareoke was on.  The singers were either extremely bad or really good.  I don't think I had ever felt so old when we walked in.........it seemed like student night LOL.......plus I wasn't really dressed for a pub, still in my work clothes really lol............anyway a few more drinks ;)

We left when the pub was closing and unfortunately as Trina, Wayne and myself had work the next day we had to love and leave Terry and Sarah too it :(  I would've loved to stay out but it had been a great evening none the less :)

Work the next day was a bit tough, I was cream crackered lol......  and it was the day when we got the invoices but unlike previous times with the invoices P was actually there :)  That felt strange!!!

Anyhow yesterday I did it :o)  I made it to mum's :o) :o)  and had a nice day with her and titch (Meggy to you lot lol) I brought a few dvd's coz they were cheap and I had some money saved from the electric bill yay............I got Hot Fuzz, Chronicles of Narnia and Muriel's Wedding.  I also borrowed a few more DVD's from mum.  So that was pretty cool.......She is like my own personal library ;)  Bless her.......

Today I did some food shopping and have now got some lovely blisters :(  I decided to wear some girlie shoes instead of my trainers which I live in!  and now I'm paying the price!!  Great thing to have before a gig :(

So yep, that's me up to date :o)  Don't think there was anything else I was gonna tell you about........

Only working 3 days this week YAY..........Off to the Eden Project on Tuesday.......cannot wait YAY :o)  Please pray for some good weather for us xx

Till Wednesday or Thursday.......take care peeps x

P.s  ~ I forgot to add...........a few weeks ago I left a p.s asking you all to keep your fingers crossed for Trina.  Well that weekend she was due to do a test for pregnancy but it's all failed :(  Luckily, if you can call this luck......because she didn't get as far as being planted with eggs on the IVF then she still gets another free go :o)  She is deferring this idea though until next year so she can enjoy herself at the Queen Paul Rogers gigs in October/November!

P.P.S ~ BEST NEWS EVER...............the bike is going to mobile bicycle repair man on Thursday.....fingers crossed peeps x

Miserable Weekend and it don't get much better

Hiya Peoples :o)  How are you all?  Me?  I'm not so good but thanks for asking lol

Firstly we'll start this entry on a happy note this time next week I shall be at the Eden Project in Cornwall watching the Chiefs do their thing :o)  Yay woohoo :o) :o)  Can't wait!!

Right now the happy news is out of the way let's crack on with the rest of the crap!!

I don't really wanna discuss my weekend but I shall tell you about it just so that I can rant and rave at you all ;)  As you know from the last entry I was going to Taunton on Saturday to visit mum on her birthday.  So after purchasing her a card on Friday with my food shopping and working out my train journey I was all set :)  I had decided that as it was going to be raining rather than catch the early train by walking to the closer station I would catch a bus to the main station and go from there.  Last time I was far too early anyway as mum hadn't got back from her shopping and I was sat out on the doorstep lol

So the 11.10am was the train for me :)  I left home a little bit later than I had wanted due to me wasting time on here.  It had started off being a lovely day weather wise.  Anyway so I walk up the road and waited for the first bus to take me into town.  Had to wait as you always do with that one.  Grrrrr......Eventually get into town but get annoyed with the rather large bloke who was taking up too much room if you know what I mean ;)  Walk fairly fast through the high street to get to the street for the bus.  At the end of this road is M&S (Marks and Spencer for our friends abroad ;)  and one of their delivery lorries was parked on the corner which is where the bus would come down but it still had room so I wasn't worried.

Well I wasn't until another bus going the other way stopped at the bus stop opposite where this lorry is parked so the whole road way is now blocked and it's 10.50am.............ugh panic.   Plus it was raining quite heavily now :(

Eventually the bus arrives and I'm already feelin' stressed.  Guess what?  The slowest woman EVER wants to get off!!!  The phrase 'this can't be happening to me' popped into my head several times.  Get on the bus, sit down, get annoyed some more but eventually reach the designated destination.  Have to queue for a ticket as there is a barrier and you can't past without one.  Brought one fine when the bloke tells me the next train is the 11.10 from platform 5 (there's me thinking i know this.........) he then tells me it's delayed due to some landslide in Dawlish!  What??????  That's alright just a few minutes I reckoned and made my way to the platform.

Lots of people there but it's fine.  The sign is just flashing delayed with no time given as to when it's gonna arrive.  Ring mum and explained the situation, will be there just don't know when!!

Half an hour later I can't catch the next one either as that too is now flashing delayed :(  At this rate by the time I get to Mum's will be time to come home.  So I seek out the railway person to get details.  She couldn't tell us anything.  Apparently someone had to inspect the debris and then someone had to move it.  She said nothing would be moving much after 12pm.  So I ring mum and give her this glorious news (please note the sarcasm) and tell her it's best that I leave it for the day coz god knows when I might arrive :(

I felt REALLY bad :(  There was no point in catching a bus as they take forever to get there going through all the back streets etc.  So that was it due to the damn weather my day was ruined YET AGAIN!!!  I did however manage to get a refund on my ticket :o)

So back on the bus and now my thought's change to worrying about wether I was going to be able to get into the flats.  The amount of rain that was falling reminds me of that weekend during the freak rain shower and the doorstep was covered in water :(  Luckily it was fine!!  I couldn't even count on my back up plan coz they were on their way to Twickenham to see Iron Maiden!!

When I got in, after having a bit of a tantrum :(  I settled down in front of the TV watched a couple of DVD's and ate!!!

As I live near the train line, I did note that I didn't see any trains going up till 9pm.  However my Team Leader who had visited her mum that day said she caught a train home at 3pm or thereabouts and she was coming from the Dawlish direction!!!!!  Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Sunday I did nothing!!!  I watched Memoirs of a Geisha which I thought was very good :o)  Then I watched the Men's final at Wimbledon.  I was rooting for Federer but alas it was not to be.  I did manage to see a bit of Top Gear thanks to the rain at Wimbledon ;)

Other than that life is just plodding along as normal.  (God my computer's slow tonight!!)  I'm regretting posting the Gig Diary last week :(

You see the thing is (and please forgive me for this as I'm just feelin' sorry for myself), I'm living on my own so that means one wage packet.  I can't afford to go out and meet someone like 'normal' people do.  Yes I am aware there are clubs that you wouldn't necessairly have to pay for, don't try to find a solution peeps just let me rant!!!!  So when something like 'Charlie' happens it plays on my mind.  That incident happened in November and I was still thinking about it and 'him' until March at least!!!

At some point it managed to get pushed to the back of my mind, but posting about it here and reading your comments especially Indigo's which made me laugh :)  has just brought it all back to the front of the head again.  I wish I had a button that would tell me to stop dwelling on things and I know it's easier said than done but I really wish I could :(  Unfortunately I have a lot of time to think!!!!!

Anyhoo I know I'm being stupid and need to grow up but I just needed to post that and jot it down so it's one less thing I have to think about.......................

If only it were that simple huh?

Have a good week peeps x

P.S Mum I am sorry I will make it up to you xxxx

Weekend, Movies and More Chiefs

Evenin' all :)  Hope you is all doin' fine??  I'm alright.  So I'll tell you any news that I have first and then you'll get the 3rd entry of Gig Diary seeing as how I got a lot of comments wondering what happened next ;)  Don't you just love cliffhangers ?

My weekend was quiet!  Didn't really do anything of significance to write about on here.  Saturday I cleaned the kitchen properly and hoovered everywhere.  Sunday I did nothing but sat here at the computer.  I paid the price for that as I've been suffering with back ache for the first half of the week :(  Stupid girl!!!  I'm getting nagged at by everyone to go to the Doctors but I fail to see why..............They don't do anything for people with bad backs and half the time it's me own fault for not sitting up properly.  I had to laugh yesterday at work cos I muttered to myself 'sit up straight for crying out loud' and my team leader sat up straight and went 'ok then'.  LOL

Monday night, although I didn't turn the computer on till later as is normal now on a Monday I didn't do any creative writing either.  I just wasn't in the mood for it plus I was hooked by the tennis.  I started watching Andy's game till 6.45pm when it looked like he was losing, so I turned it off.  Did some stuff, had tea, watched an episode of Gavin and Stacey and then went back to see how they were getting on.  So watched the rest from 9pm.  Jeez what a good match, edge of the seat stuff :o)  Unfortunately tonight's match pretty much went as I expected it too..............*sigh*

Yesterday Trina, Wayne and myself went out for the evening as it had been Wayne's birthday on Friday just gone.  We went to Pizza Express.........mmmmmmmm dough balls :o)  and stupid girl that I am dropped some of the garlic butter stuff down my top so there was this greasy mark all night :(   Plus there were some damn fine blokes serving in Pizza Express lol................That was until some girl came in and started flirting with them all grrrrrrrrrrrrr..............After the meal we went to the Vue, which I haven't been to as yet.  It opened in town last year (why one town needs 3 cinemas is beyond me!!)  Unfortunately Kung Fu Panda isn't showing yet and Wayne and I wanted to see that :(  So we saw Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian.  Trina and I got some popcorn to share but it was salted so we had to take that back lol...........then it turned out the tickets we'd brought via the machine were for next week but luckily the bloke said it was okay *phew*

All I can say is what a BLINKIN' GOOD film :o)  if you've seen the first one and enjoyed it you certainly won't be disappointed with it.  A good plot with some great characters and some fab graphics.  I'm not one for graphics but this one had brill graphics :o)  So go see it if you get a chance x

At the weekend I'm off to mum's as it's her birthday on Saturday.  Shan't tell you how old I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate that lol ;)

Anyhoo let's pick up from last week's gig entry lol...........who could forget that I left you after the two support acts had been on and some bloke had asked if he could go in front of me ;)  Enjoy x

Needless to say I wasn't too thrilled by this question and told him to get lost in not such a nice manner!! He asked me why not.......I said it was because he was taller than me and if he stood in front of me I wouldn't be able to see the band, which is what I wanted to do. He told me I was lovely and kissed my cheek. At some point i must have turned round to look at him and all I remember is he had blond hair cut short and beautiful eyes. (For some unknown reason I have a feeling he may have been wearing a pink top!!) Anyway he stayed behind me and every now and then would kiss my cheek again and tell me that I was lovely. He asked me my name, but by this point I was still playing hard to get and wouldn't tell him, but I did eventually. I'm such a muppet!! He said his name is Charlie and he was a northerner, what he was doing in Cardiff I have no idea but Trina seems to think he said that he worked in Bristol!! He even started chatting Trina up, until we pointed out her husband was standing next to her. He soon shook Wayne's hand and said something about no hard feelings. He gave up talking to me for a while and had a conversation with the girl next to him, actually asking her the same stuff he asked me *rolls eyes* oooo I forgot he asked me what my favourite Chiefs song was between Modern Way and Angry Mob, I said Angry Mob and he started singing it to me!! Actually saying that he asked her the same stuff was slightly wrong. He didn't give her a choice for her favourite song and he didn't sing it to her either!! Unfortunately whenever he wasn't paying me attention I couldn't resist turning round to look at him, which seemed to encourage him, silly girl that I am. There were two blokes next to him that were at least 30 stone (that's what one said anyway) and we had a feeling they were going to cause trouble when the band came on stage but for now they were making me laugh, as Charlie talked to them at times too. Eventually and I don't really remember how it happened but at one point he was kissing my cheek again and then we were full on kissing!! arrrrggggghhhhhhhh............this isn't me!! This doesn't happen to me.......what the hell am I doing? Shut up girl a very nice looking bloke is kissing you......go with it!! Unfortunately when I finally parted from him, the fat blokes next to us started saying 'hey, you've made her night' and 'tongues and all!' I came back down to earth with a huge terrifying bump and the enjoyment i had experienced whilst flirting with him had all disappeared. I couldn't look at him, although he kept poking me in the back!! All I could do was stand there and keep muttering to myself 'dear god what have I done, that's not me'. The way I was carrying on you'd think the world had ended.

Just when I thought I couldn't handle this anymore the lights dimmed and as I always say to Trina 'magic was about to happen'. Still wasn't thrilled about these big blokes beside us, (I forgot to mention that one of them had said that someone was going to pay!! Me thinks they may have not been amused at the rugby result - don't ask me who was playing etc!!) but i was determined they were not going to ruin my fun!! Anyway as I was saying the lights had dimmed and after about a minute the music started (apparently their opening music was I Predict A Riot slowed down) and the back lights lit up the curtain with Kaiser Chiefs written on it. It was getting very exciting. I love the build ups to bands coming on stage - it's so much fun and anticipation of what's to come. Anyway the music played for a short time and then the curtain dropped and there they were. The whole arena erupted into utter madness, as soon as 'Everything Is Average' started playing there was a surge forwards and I was caught up in it. Unfortunately for me, Trina was worried about me and was holding me back by holding onto my jeans. These particular jeans are not ones that like to stay up and with her pulling on them, it was making things 10 times worse. So I managed to get her to let go of them and she then held onto my jumper which was tied round my waist. This did not help matters as one of the bottles of water that I had sneaked it was being held by this, so that hurt my stomach......Eventually she let go completely and I went with the crowd. I ended up in front of the couple who had been standing in front of me, and then slightly to the left. It was insane!! Even then the crowd surging did not let up and at some point one of the aforementioned girls fell over. I tried to help her up and even offered her some of my water. It was so hot by this point, but I didn't care, I was enjoying myself. Even though I was getting pushed around, it was brilliant!! I even shoved some annoying bloke out of the way coz he ended up blocking my view at some point. Oh, another thing I forgot to mention before the band had come on was the lady who had been standing somewhere miles back was brought down to the front with her partner, once she got there, suddenly she felt a lot better and didn't move!! I'm glad I wasn't at the front I would've been highly annoyed with her for that!!

Anyway the band...........They were awesome!! The one thing I wanna say is if you have listened to their albums or a couple of songs and you don't think that much about them, go and see them live!! That's what they are about and trust me you would not be disappointed!! (I am not sure why but in my notes I've written Ricky's shirt. I have absolutely no idea, although it may have been to mention that Trina saw him unbuttoning it and of course I missed it grrrrrrrrr..........)

Don't wanna make this entry any longer than it needs to be so I shall stop it there ;)

Till next time peeps - have fun x

P.s if I don't do an entry beforehand can you all wish Trina luck for Sunday?  I'm not gonna explain why just yet.... Thanks my friends xx

Obsession, Nasty Virus and more Chiefs

Hey yo peeps x

How's you all?  I'm afraid to announce that my computer is poorly :(  Yep it's caught a nasty virus, but it's mummy was a bit silly coz she downloaded some music on Sunday that was infected *slap wrists*  Luckily AVG is kicking in big stylie and telling that nasty virus to hop it coz we don't stand for that kind of stuff round these parts!!!!  So cross your fingers people x

Basically on Sunday night I kept losing my task bar and all the icons from the desktop went missing.  Monday night is still no computer night (well for the majority of the night it is anyway lol) so I didn't turn it on to invesigate.  Tuesday night I weren't home and for the last two nights I've scanned the computer before using it throughouly (can't spell LOL)

Anyway so I'm here and that's the main thing.  The other main thing is my mum is back reading so everyone say hi :o)  She's got her internet connection back and rung last night for my journal address bless her x

So I guess your all wondering how we got on, on Tuesday night?  Well Foo at the Vue did not disappoint and I am smiling broadly because not only did I think I caught a glimpse of myself but our mate Sheila texted Trina (she had gone to see it in Romford) and said 'I saw Jen'  :o)  Yep ladies and gentlemen I am on it, if albeit briefly lol ;)

The first song Pretender shows a shot of the catwalk people and it starts from someone wearing a blue t-shirt (which I was on the Saturday night) and next to her is a person in a red t-shirt (which one of the young kids was wearing also on the Saturday night) yay me :o)  Wayne says he spotted Trina but 'God' Dave was on stage so I didn't see her!!  lol..............Can't wait for the DVD to come out properly so that we can pause these moments and study them properly.  When you think about it properly though 86,000 people and I was shown :o) :o) :o)  That is a huge achievement don't you think????

Otherwise the gig was fantastic reliving it, seeing bits you wouldn't necessairlysee in the audience.  Do you know what ??  I think I might listen to it whilst typing this!! *small pause whilst I find it* That's better :o)

I hate to say it but I think obsession has taken new levels with regards to the Foo Fighters lol...............I LOVE them!!!!  To rephrase I am not actually in love with any of them but as a band they are truely MAGNIFICENT!!!  I seriously do not think that Wembley can be topped by anyone this year and I just feel that every gig that is to come will just be an anti-climax :(    I'm sure they probably won't be but that's just how I feel right now lol...........

Plus here's randomness for you..........today at work I was doing something and I just started singing Stairway to Heaven (in my head ;) and then I started singing the Dave Grohl version..............no different really from the original but he does it accoustically and sings the guitar parts it's very funny.  So there was that and then I was thinking about the gigs which I've just mentioned and then I started thinking if I EVER win the lottery and you have to remember that chances of this happening are slim to none coz I never do it,  I would spend my money on following the Foo's here there and everywhere :o)  I would be so happy..................of course I would have to take Trina and Wayne with me!!!

See I call that obsessional!!!!!

Anyway I shall leave you here with a slight entry from gig diary x  Last time I left you outside in the rain waiting for non-existant Dave to turn up in Cardiff to hide the fact we were actually stalking LOL..................enjoy x

We heard them rehearse songs we knew, songs we didn't and at one stage we heard the strainings of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' ~ to say this excited Trina, Wayne and myself was a slight understatement!! It was very good though..........and we all had our fingers crossed they would play it during the show!!

After 2 hours (shakes head in disbelief that she does these kind of things), we gave up!! They weren't coming out and we were all freezing. So we went to the pubwhich is just around the corner from the arena. Because of the rugby the pub was quite full already!! We managed to find a small table and Trina ordered some drinks and Wayne wanted food. I felt miserable and cold and Trina kept asking me what was wrong, I couldn't help feeling like that!! It had failed, but most of my best laid plans tend to do that to me. Still some matters are against you from the beginning and you can't win everything. After Wayne had finished, we figured we had better get back to the car as we had to pick up the tickets. Unfortunately I had one of their songs 'Thank you very much' stuck in my head and I kept singing it out loud so I tended to annoy Trina and Wayne with it aswell. Wayne moved the car to another level and we sat there for a while and tried to decide what was the best way to hide the water bottles. Wayne and Trina hid theirs in the hoods of their tops, if i remember rightly I didn't have a hooded top on so I (and please don't think any less of me for this), put them down my trousers. For those of you that are unaware some venues don't let you take water in cos they are selling it there. However if you want to get to the front, there ain't no way you are going to leave your spot for water. If you are lucky the stewards come round half way through with some water but not all venues do this. This particular venue did last time at the Foos but they had a catwalk. There was no possibility that we were going to get to the front so we had to take provisions!! We had already experienced how hot this venue gets.

So armed with bottles of water and complete with tickets we made our way to the queue which had formed since we had been in the pub etc. Joining the back of it we waited patiently for the doors to open. It was cold waiting though!! Eventually the doors did open but we had to seperate as blokes and women had to go in seperately!! This system is so horrible if you wanna get to the front barrier. Especially if like Trina and myself you get stuck behind all these young ladies who insit on taking handbags into gigs. Mind you, I turned round to look at the queue and was extremely glad that we turned up when we did!! Because the girls side of things were not moving very quickly they said that any of us without bags could go a differnt way. So we did and luckily Trina and i got through okay with our water bottles aka they went undetected. Unfortunately Wayne had been spotted with us, which was unfortunate as he had, had to tip it into plastic cups. Bless him!! He thought he had got away with it but they had called him back!

So we made our way into the venue, without the chairs again this time and made our way to the front or as close as we could get. Trina and Wayne were heading left, so I shouted at them to follow me and we headed towards the middle. Unfortunately we had to wait for ages for the gig to actually start so we sat down for a while on the floor. All these little girls tried to push past us and we tried to be as awkward as possible so they wouldn't but eventually they went past. Still at least these girls were all smaller than me so even with them in front I still had a pretty good view.

The first support act came on eventually. They were called The Little Ones. In my opinion they were okay but certainly nothing special. The bass player made everyone in the audience chuckle as it didn't seem to matter what song was playing he would head bang to it!! It didn't stop when he swapped places with the keyboard player. He was a nutcase!!

After they finished their set there was a break. I hate these moments most in gigs as you have to think of something to talk about!! I think it was during this break that Trina left Wayne and I for a few minutes to go to the loo. I don't like my friends doing that coz it means I have to save their space and they have to fight their way back to us!! I'm not good at saving spaces. I know you have to make yourself big and stuff but I feel like I'm big but if someone wanted to argue the point I would probably loose! Luckily she made it back okay *phew* We couldn't really hear the music being played on the sound system and there was no room for us to sit down.

Second support act was We Are Scientists. I didn't know anything by them but the little girls in front of us seemed to be fans. I was impressed and found them to be quite good. Made a note to myself to download their album when I got home, or perhaps the next day as it was going to be a late night! It was during this band that people started pushing forwards. Some tall bloke and his misses pushed past the bloke who had been standing quietly next to me. He wasn't much taller than me so of course he was a bit miffed that these people had pushed past. He started arguing with them to move and I tried to get involved coz the bloke had a point, but I got some lovely language back. Figured it was a non winning battle. More and more people were coming down to the front by this point and it was getting a bit freaky. This did not bode well when the main band came out! By this point We Are Scientists had finished and the stage was being changed over. It was at this point that some bloke put his arms round me and quietly asked if he could go in front of me.

Ok I'm gonna leave it on this cliff hanger ~ but trust me the next part is fab ;)
