WOOHOO

Well that's it until the 4th January!!  I'm writing that here so I remember coz no doubt I'll turn up a day early :-P  LOL  It wasn't a bad day today I had my monthly probation and my team leader seems to think I'm doing ok - so I guess that's a bonus.  We both had a moan about the bloke who sits opposite me - unfortunately he's starting to grate on my nerves coz everything you talk about he's been there, or he knows someone whose done it........you must know the type - irratating as hell LOL.......still who cares it's christmas :-)

This entry is really to let you know that I'm going away for the next two to three days and as my mum's computer is playing silly beggars I probably won't be updating this or reading yours!!  So I'll catch you all when I get home no doubt :-)  Till then

MERRY XMAS TO EVERYONE WHO PASSES THIS WAY FROM ME!!

(and roger ;-)   I made that it's good in't it? LOL

Only tomorrow to go

Hello everyone - Apparently I'm gonna have my one month probation meeting tomorrow (sounds quite bad doesn't it??) - wish me luck though!!  I'm getting quite excited about xmas now coz I'm only working tomorrow and then I'm off until the 4th woohoo :-)  I keep checking that it is the 4th coz I know I'm gonna go back a day early LOL.........

Received a few more xmas cards today - one from a bloke from my old workplace - it was rather funny, which was nice and found out that one of my old work colleagues is working in the same building as me - cool!!

Anyway I shall leave you with this - I read it at lunch time and thought 'that's kinda cool and I must put it in my journal' :-)  - Enjoy!!

16 THINGS THAT IT TOOK ME OVER 50 YEARS TO LEARN

by Dave Barry, Nationally Syndicated Columnist

1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings

3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them

5. You should not confuse your career with your life

6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

7. Never lick a steak knife

8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip

9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.

10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.

11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age 21.

12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers

13. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to a waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)

14. Your friends love you anyway.

15. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

16. Thought for the day: Men are like fine wine . . . They start out as grapes, and it's up to the women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

FINAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2030, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

Secret Santa & Xmas Lunch

Before I start with the proper entry I looked for T's dress on the internet and I came across this which is the same number and the same make - I don't remember it having that pattern though - well my memory's like a sieve anyway!  So here it is :-)

Today was the xmas lunch and secret santa, but I'm gonna start on yesterday instead :-P  I was dreading going to work, but not long after I was there I heard my name mentioned.  It was the wicked witch.  She asked if I had been in Sainsbugs on Sunday when I said yes she said she would've said hello except she wasn't sure it was me :-0  Then we had a conversation.  I couldn't believe it!!  That set me on a small high because I really didn't think she liked me.  Ok I know a conversation doesn't mean that she likes me but it's close isn't it?  I also managed to deal with most of my calls and so I was pretty chuffed with myself :-)

Today I was worried again as it was the secret santa day!  Again I'm a silly muppet - I shouldn't have been!!  The morning was okay I managed to sneak my pressie in when I walked in!  Then at about 11.30am one of the team leaders walked in as she was on holiday and the two team leaders gave out pressies to everyone in their team!  Even though I've not been there a month I still got a pressie too :-)  Awww isn't that sweet of them!  I haven't unwrapped it but you can tell it's chocolate ;-)

Next they did secret santa - people got some good pressies (not like my last office - my last line manager was given a blow up doll, don't ask lol)!!  I was given two photo frames, I was quite pleased with it.  I'm not sure if the guy liked what I got him - unfortunately I didn't see him unwrap it!

Xmas lunch was nice was sat next to my team leader and the woman who sits next to me!  I had turkey followed by xmas pud!!  Later on the wicked witch had another conversation with me.  Things are looking up!!  Only two more work days and then I'll be off to mum's for a couple of days.  Tell me something do you need to switch the water off if your not around?  Just curious coz I heard that on the radio.

By the way to those of you that have thanks for the e-cards they are really nice and it's sooooo sweet that you thought of me!  (That's not a hint to the rest of you by the way ;-)

Sorry it's a boring entry can't really think of anything interesting to write!!

Some Kind of Beautiful

Well I promised a proper entry today so I better get on with it ;-)

Unfortunately the smilies had to go because of spyware!!  Wasn't sure what it was until Stuart kindly pointed it out - doh @ myself LOL

Friday - was not a very good day at work :-(  I felt very miserable and very incapable of doing the job when I made YET another mistake.  I'm coping with it the best I can though and trying to take one day at a time - eeeekkkk it's nearly Monday!!

Saturday - Well as some of you maybe aware we went dress shopping for T's big day!!  She and I have been friends since secondary school so when I did see her in the dress I welled up and would've cried except we weren't the only customers in the shop!  The other customers was this other girl trying on dresses and two people who my mate, myself and the sales lady who was attending to T, thought were her parents.  Apparently it was her mum and her husband to be :-O  talk about being shocked!!  It was quite funny.  Anyway we had never seen these people before and when T was stood on the box in the dress with her hair slightly up and a veil and a tiara and shoes the bloke said, she looked wonderful!!  This coming from a total stranger, we knew it was the one she had to go for.  Plus I noticed afterwards that his bride to be started copying the look especially coz he thought T had the wow factor and this woman didn't LOL.  The dress is ivory with rum coloured roses on it but their very small and silver thread which attaches all the flowers (this is a bad description - I'll see if I can find a piccie).  It has off the shoulder sleeves (which will cover up her tattoos and a sort of v necked front.  The train at the back has the same pattern on it and buttons that go all the way down.  Looked kinda weird when it was hanging up but when she had it on it wasn't so bad!  The veil (which she wasn't gonna have one!) is a long one which is about the same length as the train of the dress and has little sparkly flecks in and when they catch the light it's amazing!!  I've seriously never seen that side to her and it was quite stunning :-)

The sales lady made her try on two other dresses but we were both so overwhelmed by the first one it didn't make a blind bit of difference!!  So she decided to order it then and there.  Then unfortunately it was my turn!!  I'm not into girly things and what made it worse they didn't have a single dress in my size so everything I tried on I couldn't imagine what it would look like!!  Eventually we have settled on what was called victoria rose coloured, which is basically a dark pink (she's got her wish and put me in pink grrrr.....) which matches the flowers on her dress.  It also has a slight v-neck and is a two piece bodice and long skirt.  She's only having two bridesmaids and the other is 8 years old so we're hoping she'll find something that will match!  The sales lady suggested getting some flowers the same colour to put in the bridesmaids hair which sounded really nice but I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Right enough of this girly stuff onto the toilet scenario!  Just after I moved in, in August the toilet made some funny gurgling sounds and the water started rising when I flushed it but the water gurgled in the bath and went back down again.  This was at the time of all that heavy rain.  Well yesterday it had been heavy raining for a good few hours.  I went to the toilet and noticed the water was slightly higher than usual.  But I went anyway (well I was desperate!).  Then as I was about to flush I noticed the water had risen even more arrrrggghhh.....but I had to flush so I did, but the water didn't go down.  So when I put my entry in last night I was panicking that I wouldn't be able to go to the toilet again and that I'd have a flood - luckily at 12pm when I went to bed I noticed it had gone down, coz it had stopped raining *phew*  Sorry about that - hope you weren't eating at the time ;-)

Today nothing's happened except I've finally accured enough nectar points to get 5 quid off my shopping.  What a con I've had that card since August and it's taken me till December to get money off!!  The only card worth anything is the boots one!!  If you spend enough in there the next time you go in and you don't have any money you can pay using the card - sorted!!

My nan rung today - that's twice within a week, she must be lonely!!  I've made a pact with myself that I am definitely gonna go and see her in the new year.  I haven't seen her in years and now she's in a home in Bedford.  :-(  I'm planning to go with my big bro' which will be a nice surprise for her!!

Well xmas lunch is on tuesday if nothing exciting happens tomorrow I'll update more then :-)

Take care everyone!!  (extra note my dads just rung - haven't spoken to him since August - more shocked lol)

Paranoia

Today's not been a very good day   I know I have always been very paranoid up until now and I think I'm coming to terms with the fact that no matter what happens and what I tell myself I shall ALWAYS be paranoid.  Of course I'm talking about work and my fellow colleagues.  I just don't think they like me but when I'm being a bit more rational I do remind myself that I've not even been there for a month.  I accidentally bumped into the wicked witch and called her by a different name (by accident) and she was like 'actually i'm blah blah' - I thought I do know it was just a mistake!!  Then later I get the impression that the woman who sits next to me (who doesn't like that bloke opposite me) suddenly does like him and not me - so of course I'm trying to think what have I done?  But it could have something to do with the fact that I keep making stupid mistakes!  I would tell you what but I can't be bothered to waste your time!!  I certainly couldn't do this job forever - it's so boring and very monotonous <<<< probably not spelt correctly

It just got worse though as I was eating my tea I bit on something really hard.  Two white pieces of whatever came out of my mouth.  It looks like a bit of tooth but I can't feel where it's come from!  I hate dentists with a passion and I'm not even sure if I'm registered anymore which causes another problem grrrr........

Anyway I'm watching Frank Skinner at the mo and Steve and Simon have just been on (Steve from the X-factor and Simon Cowell) (I did wonder if you were watching Sara ;-) They were quite funny!!

Wasn't the weather horrible today?   It was typical how it was raining, until we all got to work and it stopped lol

Phones are still playing up at work!!

Oh well at least tomorrow  LOL

This has been a rather boring entry I'm sorry so I'll finish on a game for you!!  I can only manage a measly one http://www.panlogic.net/rescue  Enjoy!!

Oh and don't forget to vote for Nathan (coz he's really cute!!) and I would say help stuart with his counter but last I heard it'd gone again............

Wish me luck for the weekend by the way my mate wants to look for her wedding dress and my dress.  Apparently though she wants me to be brutally honest with her - I'm looking forward to that *evil laugh*

I've started......but will I finish?

Hi everyone -

Hope you are all ok!  Thought I'd just add a quick entry with this joke I received on an email!!  Don't you just love that smiley (see above) - I wanted to do that yesterday AOL was not being very co-operative with me!!

Not a bad day at work, the phones were playing silly beggars in the morning and this afternoon just as everyone was going home.  It was quite amusing coz it would ring a couple of times like normal, stop and then ring continuously for about a few seconds or so!  Wonder if it'll do the same tomorrow - but it doesn't matter in the morning as we all have to put our phones to these two people who don't have to do what we're all doing

The thought of this tour is causing some headaches (and for those of you who read the last entry and got confused - sorry peeps  - Mr M was Brian May and Mr T is Roger Taylor from the band Queen, apparently Paul Rodgers from Free and Bad Company will provide the vocals)!!  Anyway I started thinking about my annual leave today.  It usually runs from April to March, which is fine but I'm there until May (as things stand at the mo!), so I have a total of 7 days.  Fine, probably could get to a few gigs with that. BUT - if they decide to do this in April I'm screwed!  That's if I have to give up my leave.....oh life is so tough sometimes   (Sorry to bore you with this stuff but I warn you there is probably more on the way)!!

I made a start - I wrote my xmas cards yesterday and got two papercuts from ONE envelope on my lips - ouch!!  See now you know why I hadn't done a thing before lol I foresaw that happening <<<<<< Only joking

Anyway I don't think there was anything else I was gonna drone on about so I shall leave you here with this joke - enjoy :-)

A guy walks into the local welfare office, marches straight up to the counter and says
"Hi . . you know, I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd really rather have a job."

The social worker behind the counter says, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips. You'll have a two-bedroom apartment above the garage. The starting salary is $200,000 a year".

The guy says, "You're teasing me!"

The social worker says, "Yeah, well, you started it."

Give Peas A Chance

 OH MY GOD!!!!

According to an interview that was done over in Germany with a certain Mr T there is gonna be a tour next spring <<<<<< me!!  Then apparently whilst they were on stage Mr M confirmed it!!  I know I've heard this all before and never really believed it but this time I do!!  Don't ask me why!  But then the question comes into the reality how am I gonna pay for this??  I was very lucky 5 years ago when Mr T toured coz my mate payed for us to go to 7 of his shows paying for tickets, b&b's and train tickets.  I know how much she spent then and there is NO WAY either of us can afford that now!!  I mean for a start she's getting married next August and I'm renting so all my money is going to that!!  What are we going to do?  Win the lottery I think is the only answer!  Of course with this tour announced that means we shan't be going to the convention.  That is a shame coz I had a plan when we got there and also it would've been our 10th one and it's their 20th so that's kinda special!!  Oh I'm sure something will come together!!

Anway today I went shopping (even if I should now be saving)!!  I brought a fab t-shirt which says 'Give Peas A Chance' LOL isn't that funny?

I've decided I ain't gonna change my puncture so that story will have to wait for another time.  Things just ain't going right today.  I tried to get rid of my rubbish in the section here at the block of flats with the bins in!  Well you need a key to get into this place, so I took my key with me - walked across the car park with all the other flats around me (so people could see what I was doing) and put my key in the lock.  Blimin' thing wouldn't turn!!    I tried and tried and tried and no luck, so I thought what am I gonna do with this bin bag now?  Luckily there are some bins on the other side of the front car park so I put it in there but why wouldn't my key work?  grrrr......

The other day my light bulb went in the bathroom.  So I get my little footstool in there, manage to get the bulb out but all this other stuff falls down too.  But it's not a two pin bulb like most others are!!  So I go traipsing all over town trying to find this type of bulb but could I find it, NO!!  When I get home I decide to investigate further.  I manage to unscrew the main bit and get the lamp down.  There's another bit that's all kinda yucky so I pull at that and it breaks up and most of it falls on the floor.  Turns out it is one of those two pin bulbs but has just rotted away   How stupid did I feel??  Don't answer that....................... lol

I still don't feel very christmasey!!  Even watching that silly stuff of christmas mania on the tv.  Alright I was on the phone during the beginning bit and now I've turned it off but I haven't wrapped my pressies and I haven't written any cards.  I just do not feel like doing it!  I don't know - maybe I should wear my xmas hat and that might get me in the spirit!

Well I shall leave you pondering these thoughts - till next time................

Thinking!!

Hi peeps

I was gonna update this last night but someone (no names mentioned - Stuart) invited me to take part in chat last night!!  It was good, you guys are funny and it was nice to meet you

There really isn't much to say anyway, so maybe it was a good thing I didn't update last night lol.........I've seen the video of the variety club awards (this is the award show where Derek got his award), but they didn't show the crowd at the theatre so you couldn't see me   Still I knew I was there and that's enough for me!!  What was great though as with most award shows they showed the people arriving at the beginning and one was Brian May   That is so cool !!  Shame they didn't show a shot of the crowd I should've taken off my fleece with my Roger T t-shirt underneath!

Work is going okay, i guess!!  I can't shake the feeling that I'm not doing very well and not getting on with anyone!!  Some days this is quite big and other days I think what am I worried about coz I have a laugh and a joke with some of them!!  I can't figure it out.  I had my first wage packet yesterday and I can't say I was all that impressed and I'm slightly worried over it.  God help me when I get the next one at the end of the month coz they are gonna sting me big time for tax and N.I.

I'm not sure what else to tell you   I've managed to get some new lights for my tree so I shall post a new piccie on here at the weekend.  What else have I done?  erm nothing...............I don't feel xmassy (can't spell) at all!!  Even now they've finally got round to putting decs up above my desk at work.  I really should get myself sorted, there's the cards to think of and presents to wrap.  I feel very unorganised

Did anybody catch making of Bo Rhap?  Yes the ex did video it for me and he dropped it round the other day *evil laughter*  I found it really interesting and started feeling that I actually understood what it was about, but thats probably just me!!

Well I reckon I've bored you enough, sorry this wasn't very interesting!!  Perhaps if I attempt to mend my puncture at the weekend there'll be interesting news.....only joking!!

Speak to you soon

Wow Fame at last!!

Hi everyone - yep it's little ol' me again

Well as you can see I've uploaded some photos but I'll explain about them as I go so don't look at them yet - thank you for your co-operation :-)

Yesterday I went to stay with T and her bloke as T and I were going out in the evening.  Just after we got to theirs T and I went shopping.  The first piccie is something I brought.  I decided to call him Brian, but Brian Lion didn't register until a lot later lol (my mind is very slow sometimes)!  When we got back to hers we watched a film until we had to go!

We had tickets to see Derek Acorah (the medium from the Most Haunted show).  (We went last year and had a good time so we booked this back in May!)  T's boyfriend dropped us off outside the hall, and as we were walking towards the entrance, I noticed a van round near the back of the hall.  I commented on it coz it was a strange place for it to be parked.  T said it looked like an FBI van coz it had a satellite on top of it.  We thought nothing of it and went inside.  We were in row H which was about 7/8 rows back.  Anyway Derek came on and started to do his stuff which was good and he was getting a lot right by the sounds of the responses from the people.  I kept hoping my grandad or my uncle would come through but no luck!!  He went off and had a break and I went to get ice cream and found out he was doing signing's afterwards.  I wanted to get my pic taken with him as this had failed last year

Derek came on for the next act (only word I could think of sorry lol), and did a couple more people.  He was just trying to find out who the buller (may have that name wrong) sisters belonged to when we noticed Dr David Bull (he presents the live Most Haunted's) and a camera crew walk on stage.  Then on the screen behind Derek was projected Yvette Fielding and Claire Sweeney    The whole hall went mad (me included lol)!  Dr Bull managed to get everyone quiet and said, ' We are LIVE on Living TV,' more cheers from the audience, 'it gives me great pleasure to present Derek with the variety club multi channel television personality of the year award goes to Yvette Fielding and Derek Acorah' Many more cheers and standing ovations. Dr Bull handed over this award.  I couldn't get over it!  You see these kinda things happen on TV but never actually are you ever in the audience for it lol pictures 2 and 3 show Derek and David   Dr Bull then told us that we weren't actually live and that the show was going out this evening (Monday) (am being cheeky towards ex again but did try and see if other people with Living would video it, but to no avail)!!

As if that wasn't enough - T and I then queued for a piccie.  Didn't take too long but I was starting to feel queue rage at one point!  Anyway he signed my programme picture 5 and I asked for a photo and he said yes and then gave me a big hug   picture 4 I said 'congratulations on your award and to Yvette too' and he said, 'thank you Jenny' and kissed me on the cheek lol - oh what a night!!  I can't wait to see the programme!!  I did video the award giving on my digital camera but all you can is me cheering lol

Work is going ok!!  There's not much to report from there so I shan't bother lol - oh and picture 6 is my tree.  It looks pathetic doesn't it?  Nah don't answer that!

Speak to you again soon

Xmas tree lights and me don't mix

Hiya everyone!!  So another week has flown past - where did it go?  Do we care??  Who knows!!

Anyway lets see what's happened?  Work is going ok!!  I actually answered the phone for the first time yesterday and afterwards I asked P who sits next to me how I did?  She reckons I was quite good coz I took all the relevant information for them to deal with it - yay me lol   The accounts turned up yesterday so that's keeping us busy which is great!  I prefer to be kept busy coz the time goes quicker!  I'm getting the impression that M and P in our team don't like the guy who sits opposite me!  Which is fair enough coz neither do I really - he's obnoxious and really sarcastic yet didn't get it when I tried sarcasm yesterday - what a muppet!  I'm quite looking forward to monday coz they are gonna give me the task of trying to get the spreadsheet to balance sounds to me like an important job!!

I went to the doctors yesterday for my repeat prescription and apparently I'm not allowed to have it coz of my weight which is fair enough, but she decided to weigh me (which was a good thing coz I don't own any scales)!!  She said I'd lost about 3 or 4 kg as this didn't sound very impressive to me I asked her what it was in pounds.  She said I'd lost about 10 pounds which equals to 1/2 a stone YYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was in such a good mood after hearing that!!  Not bad going since August huh??  I'll just keep going the way I am and doing me exercise   I'm dead chuffed with myself!!

Tomorrow (I'm really excited about this) I'm going to see Derek Acorah :-)  We went to see him last year, and I tried to have my piccie taken with him but it didn't work (my camera that is grrr....) His show had finished and we went to the backstage door and when he came out I asked if I could have a photo taken with him.  He said yes and I gave the camera to me mate.  The blasted camera wouldn't work.  I thought maybe it was the battery but as soon as he walked away it worked again - spooky or what??  (For those of you who don't know Derek is the resident medium on Most Haunted Living TV check it out it's good )  So this year I've changed my camera and will hope for better results - wish me luck!  Me and me mate both got a kiss last year though heh heh heh heh heh heh............

For those of you who like Queen check out BBC 3 tomorrow - The Story of the Rhapsody at 7pm.  (I've been really cheeky and asked my ex to tape it lol - well he's the only one I know with BBC3).  I've not seen it but apparently they take them back to the studio where it was recorded and stuff!!  Should be good - there is a small version of interviews on Greatest Hits 1 on DVD but hopefully this'll be different.

(Sorry for the long entry again - should update more often) On a slightly different note I've put my xmas tree up (hence the subject title) it looks really pathetic so that's why I've not put a piccie up here!!  You can have that one instead lol :-(  It's quite depressing coz I was really looking forward to putting it up and it is terrible!!

Well that's it for now
