A month to go!!

Hello it's me again!!

Today's been a bit of a non-starter so far as work is concerned.  Was fairly busy this morning but this afternoon was just a waste of time!!  Tomorrow should be better as the TL will be back :-)

I've been thinking about what to write today in my journal and there's been something I've been meaning to mention.  Adverts.   Don't you think there's a lot of army adverts?  There just seems to be more and more, (although they show less in the evenings.)  Also there seems to be more using haunting childrens tunes as the backing music.  Do you have a favourite?  Mine has to be the dancing car at the moment LOL I think it's for puegot.  (can't spell)!!

I thought that was gonna be something good to write about but it just sounds like rambling when I read it back LOL  (it's coz I'm paying more attention to the tv tut tut)!!

This morning when i was walking to work the canal near the flats looked like it had frozen over.  i couldn't believe it when I saw it coz I haven't seen anything like it.  I knew it was cold last night but that's insane!!

Not much else has happened today, still lookin' forward to the first gig in a months time :-)  Look out for a countdown peeps LOL

Till tomorrow then - take care

Sunday night

Evenin' all

How are you?  I don't have any great news and haven't really achieved anything this weekend (surprise surprise)!  (ha ha inspector gadget I used to watch that - wednesday afternoons if I remember rightly!!)  Trina came round and we watched the Shawshank Redemption.  I know I watched it during the week but I thought I better pay more attention to it before I give it back.

Talking of Shawshank, the one thing I love about Stephen King books is the way he intergrates all his characters.  I didn't think I would find it in the book I'm reading at the moment.  It's the different seasons book with four short stories inside.  Apt Pupil I'm reading at the moment.  The german guy in that was just talking about his stocks and shares and how some hotshot banker set them up for him and how this banker had been sent to jail for murder.  Namely Andy Dufresne from Shawshank.  Ingenius!!  I first read this intergrating when I read Needful Things and one of the characters of the film Stand By Me (Books called The Body but I haven't got to that one yet :-) was mentioned in that.

We didn't do much else!! We usually spend our time sitting there and watching videos, probably a bit boring but we can never think of something else to do!!

Today I've been quite lazy, apart from walking to the shop, I've just been watching tv and trying to figure out how to transfer some more music to my computer.  I'm quite chuffed with myself coz I think I've done that!!

It's weird watching this cartoon thing coz your finding out most of the character voices are done by girls............lol.............

Do you remember I mentioned those things I was gonna do from the 1st march well the cooking thing is gonna have to wait until I've cleared out what's in my fridge.  I didn't think about that when I first mentioned it!!

Don't know what else to tell you...........so I shall leave you here.....have a good week!!

Take care

Jen xx

P.s any prizes to those of you who can sing the Transformers theme tune!!

P.p.s I'm only joking!!

Saturday 26 February 2005

Oooo a morning entry.......

Hello - can you believe I'm writing an entry in the morning what's the matter with me LOL.....

Well I deprived you all of an entry last night so I thought I'd make up for it this morning ;-)

The accounts finally arrived yesterday after lunch.  Should be busy over the next week or so then yippee!!  Richard was doing my head in yesterday.  Why can't that bloke understand when I'm trying to be funny??  It's alright for him to do it but not me grrrr.....

Last night I took part in the quiz.  There's a quiz every Friday at one of the MSN groups I'm a member of!!  (A Life Beyond - should be in my fave links!!) Haven't taken part in a few weeks what with going out and one week my firewall needed updating and that went wrong and so I had to uninstall it and reinstall it - nightmare it was!!  Anyway we lost but all the good people were on the other team!!  (No I'm not bitter ;-)  I also managed to have a good chat to Chris.  She texted me on Thursday (or was it Wednesday??) to tell me that her dog had been put down.  I felt like crying when I read that.  Whenever you talk to chris, bonnie was all she ever talked about.  I got my chance last night to tell her that I was here for her if she needs me!!  I wish I could meet Chris in person she's such a good laugh - life and soul of the chatroom!  One day I'm sure I will - just gotta have faith!

On this msn group you can have a reading done by one of the ladies on there.  I'm gonna do it when I have a question I need answering....I'm quite excited about it as I've never had that done before but still a bit wary!!

So are you up to anything this weekend?  Trina's coming round today.  We'll probably do nothing but I haven't seen her in like 2/3 weeks.  With that in mind I better go and tidy my flat ha ha ha.....

Take care everyone....

Have a good weekend xx

Big Ideas!!

Hello yet another entry from yours truly!!

Nothing much happening!!  Listening to Planet Rock on the web - check out the link Gary posted in the comments section (I shall eventually get round to sticking it in me favourites!!).  Some good stuff playing and no adverts - now that's what I call a music station (or maybe I've been listening to local radio too much)!!

Accounts are due tomorrow and some problem arised today....LOL!!  I kept me mouth shut.  It doesn't suprise me though....I reckon we'll be lucky if they do arrive tomorrow.  Till they do we are very quiet, it's so quiet even the team leader is catching up on her work. :-P

So because we've been quiet I've been writing things down on post it notes all week and today is no exception.  Well I've got to do something to keep me awake ;-)  Yesterday's consisted of an update for the journal, some websites that I might be interested in and an idea for a story I've been writing for myself!!  Anyway today's is all about how I plan to get a grip on things coz I've been letting myself slip recently and need to sort that out.  I'm gonna tell you guys what I wrote so maybe if you remember what I've said and then I don't mention it in my journal you could shout at me for not doing it or whatever.

After the 1st March (strange day to pick a Tuesday but the 1st is more significant me thinks!!)

Exercising - Must attend gym as much as possible....... If not then I must do something when I get home.  Lately I've been so lazy I just watch the simpsons doss around and then cook tea.  I know I walk to work every day but I just need to get back into the swing of things.  I used to go every monday and now I'm working very close to the gym I have no excuses!!

Writing - I really must concentrate on this more.  I seem to only do it for my enjoyment but when I was in between jobs I spent a lot of time writing and I was really getting into what I was doing.  I want that feeling back.  I'm sure I could do it, my imagination is really good so all I need to do is get my bum on the seat and the head out of the clouds.  I don't just mean writing though I also mean letters!!  I promised myself I would get on top of the pile after xmas and here we are nearly march and I've only written one!!!

Discipline myself more with regards to housework!!  I have let that slip too and I have to do something about the stain on that carpet before the land lady comes round again.  I would also like to get some more hints and tips of cooking myself some proper low fat meals.  So hopefully I can get into that!!

Sounds like a lot but if I can do perhaps I could feel better about meself!!  I guess I shall have to wait and see what happens.

Well a better entry than yesterday I guess.........must go and get some beauty sleep now!!  It ain't gonna snow anymore - well even if it does it ain't gonna settle as it's been raining most of the afternoon :-(  Have to find a way to get to Dartmoor!!

Take care everyone xx

Boring entry.....not even worth reading!!

Hi

Well thank you for your thoughts about the vicks coz I did remember it :-)

It had snowed a teeny tiny bit overnight and I was looking forward to the walk to work.  Little did I know I would nearly slip on my bottom 3 times!!  Obviously wore the wrong shoes.......

Not much has happened today (surprise surprise I hear you shout!!) Watched the Shawshank Redemption. Very good film.......Currently watching Queen Live in Argentina 1981.....the sound is crap but not a bad show!!  *phew* Brian's guitar solo is over LOL ;-)

This is a really boring entry and I should be sorting out my finances.  I really need to get a grip on myself, and being up to date with chores etc....

Well sorry to bore ya!

Take care xx

Jen

No Title

Hi everyone :-)

I wrote some things down earlier at work to mention on me journal today so here they are:

Earlyish about 10am - I've always thought of snow as a magical thing.  Probably because it doesn't happen that often, in fact the last time I remember snow I was at primary school.  Then it was deep enough to go sledging.  Mum used to get logs delievered so that provided enough large sacks for most of us kids.  :-)  Well to get back to the present day I was getting ready for work and looked out the bedroom window and thought 'is that snow?' Got all excited and ran into the living room, just to confirm my suspicions.  It was!!  I started looking forward to the walk to work in the snow.  Needless to say when I left it wasn't snowing anymore!!  Grrrr...... It's been on and off for most of the morning but not when I'm out there!!

I felt totally miserable when I got to work as I'd forgotten my vicks inhaler and couldn't breath properly.  (Well not through my nose anyway!!) grrrr...... Don't let me forget it tomorrow folks!!  Send some vicks thoughts to me around 8.15am would ya?  Thanks ;-)

Then I wrote an update at 2pm - Still no snow!!  Grey skies are coming so hopes that I may be able to walk home in it!!  Really weird could breath quite well around this time but I have chocolate on standby if I can't ;-)

So that was all I wrote at work!!!  Richard leant me Shawshank and I lent him Saving Private Ryan.  I'm telling you this coz if he doesn't give it back you can have a go at him lol...............

Did you watch Richard and Judy?  It was the competition of the potential authors.  In the end apparently the publisher liked them all and is giving them all a contract how amazing is that for them!!  God I wish I could have an opportunity like that!

Not much else to say - currently trying to watch 'Cherished' very good so far :-)  Poor woman but bless her child.........

Well take care everyone

Jen xx

Let the music play.........

Evenin' Everyone!  Hope your all ok?

So back to work and guess what?  Despite me taking the time off so Pauline wouldn't catch it before she goes on her cruise, she's gone and caught it off someone else LOL......at least she's not blaming me though *phew*  She left at 4pm today so that's 2 weeks and 2 days without her - should be nice and relaxed, but saying that she hasn't been that bad recently.  Dave cheered me up no end though coz he said (very sarcastically), "Oh she'll be in a lovely mood when she comes back to work." I was like, "cheers mate, cheer me up why don't you!" LOL

Everyone was quite nice and asked if I was ok!!  I have a bit of a cough now and it's one of those that if you don't keep drinking you get a dry tickly bit at the back.  Well I was getting that at lunchtime and started to panic coz I had no drink to cure it.  Panicking makes me worse!!  So I know I'm about to have a coughing fit, so I hurriedly get my juice out of my draw and make my way to the water cooler.  Whilst there and trying desperately not to cough, Elaine asks if I'm feeling better.  I mutter something about being fine and thanks, and out comes my cough........LOL yep really sounded like I was fine at that point. ;-)

Sandra was quite sweet though she said that last Tuesday I looked a bit withdrawn and thought she should ask if I was ok but didn't!!  She said she felt guilty about it........bless!!  That was the day I felt dizzy at lunchtime.  She has also warned me that I'll probably have this cold for at least another week or so.....marvellous!!

So what else is there to tell you?  Not a lot really!!  Oooo I finished the Shawshank Redemption.  Not bad, but not your typical Stephen King.  I love his books, I wish I could write like that!  I've now moved onto Apt Pupil which is in the same book, it's a collection of short stories by the man.  I love reading I really should do it more often.  I've asked Richard if I can borrow the Shawshank film off him, I thought I had it but on looking for it last week when I was off ill it turns out I haven't.......grrrr......LOL!

So Queen were 7th in that 50 best selling artists.  Not bad I suppose.......it was nice to see snippets of Roger though :-P  I especially liked his comment when talking about Freddie he said "He was the main mail man and we were his sorting office".  LOL

Oooooo mustn't forget there's a programme on at 10.30pm about Monty Python.  I like them.........:-)

Well I shall leave you all here and post a joke that was sent to me.  (no doubt I've posted it already but who cares??)!!

Take care everyone

Jen xx (leaving you with an important message!!)

Now the joke :-)

Madness!!

Hellooooooo..........

How are you all?  I've still got my cold but I am daring to go back to work tomorrow!!  Only one more day before Pauline goes on holiday so hopefully she won't catch it ;-)

So how's your weekend been?  Mine's been.....well I can't think of a word for it!  Friday night was the old works do!!  What a pile of crap!!  I wasn't feeling great but I was not gonna miss out on seeing everyone and seeing what they are up to these days.  So I went to the bowling alley by 7.30pm and Jacki and Carol turn up.  Julia's called off sick, Ann's working, Angie can't make it.  Out of 12 of us 3 turned up :-(  Just couldn't believe it!!  Went into the bowling place had a couple of drinks and game of bowling (I came 2nd LOL) I came home.  Jacki and Carol were going to find somewhere to eat but I decided not to join them.  Mainly to save myself some money but also coz I was feeling low with the cold!  It was the first time I'd walked home that late by the river.  Got a bit freaked but made it home ok!!

Saturday - Mum came down.  Got annoyed with her as she had texted to say 10.30am at the bus station.  By 10.45am she wasn't there and I was cold!!  Had to pay for a top up on my mobile to find out where she was grrr......Eventually she turned up with me sister Megan (who held my hand nearly all day!!) Had a good day - mum brought me a great jacket (I never have a jacket to go out in!) Mum said I could wear it to the gigs, I said this wouldn't be possible as it doesn't have pockets LOL.... Had a good laugh with Megan, I kept stealing her 'Baba' and running around the shop with it LOL - sometimes I had to remind myself as to how old I am and shouldn't be acting like this in my home town.  After a while though you suddenly think who cares!!  It was a good day though!

Today I've done nothing.  Went food shopping at last and now have some food in the place ;-) I wish I could report that I've done something practical something I've always wanted to do but nope!!  I never seem to have the inclination to sit there and do what something I could feel proud of even if it's just writing a letter.  I need to discipline myself more I think but how is always gonna remain the big question for me!

Well I don't know what else to moan onto you guys about ;-)  I hope you all have a good week (it'll be interesting to see where Queen is in this programme as quite a few big acts have been and gone!!)

Take care everyone xx

Jen    isn't that great >>>>>>>> LOL

Getting Worse

Hello :-)

Thanks for the symapthies!!  I decided today to take the day off work.  I went in yesterday and nearly fainted at lunchtime.  About the same time Pauline tells me I look pale.  (She's the sarcastic lady ;-) Well I've had a thought about this and I don't want the guilt of knowing I made her feel ill before she goes on her cruise (she's going next week) so I stayed home!!  She was happy and relieved when I rung her........

I'm gonna stay home tomorrow too if I wake up and my throat feels like this.  I've had lemsip and sore throat sweets and it's still bad.  In fact it felt better yesterday when I'd spent the day at work grrrrrr........... Oh well rest and recuperation that's what I need!!  Hopefully I will feel better before Friday coz it's the old works do!!  I will make it bowling even if it kills me!!  Then Mum's supposed to be coming down on Saturday....I swear this is all my sister's doing, she had a cold last Saturday when I went up to see them......grrr.......(why do we always look for someone else to blame when we have a cold?)

Right the batteries for my camera finally arrived and I've uploaded me photos from the b-day party from Saturday so I've pulled a selection of the best for you guys to see.  I know what a nosey bunch you are LOL ;-)

1) The cake - great huh? 2) Megan, mum and me :-)  Any comments about how I look like my mum you can **** off right!!  (Sorry I know that's harsh but I get fed up hearing it)!!  3) The birthday boy  4) Blowing out his candles - my brother thinks I should add a straw to this one LOL  5) I've added this one coz Megan looks so funny in this one throwing a misery fit.......lol  6) Mum and my brother - trust them two to close their eyes when the photo gets taken.  7) Megan and Greg - Mum noticed them two sitting there and said about getting her camera so I obiliged.  I like this photo one of the rare moments I'll see brother and little sister being nice to each other.  LOL

Not much else to tell you!!  I shall hopefully finish reading the Shawshank Redemption being home ill :-) It's annoying though when you live on your own and you need shopping but your ill.............what are you supposed to do?  I guess I'll figure something out ;-)

I know all my readers visit Stuarts journal but I hope you've all left your message about the alerts.  Something must be done coz their doing my head in grrrr.............

Well till next time

Take care xx

Damn all the Germs!!

Hi everyone

I was fine today until lunchtime when my throat started feeling sore!!  Grrrrr.......LOL......and to top it off obviously alerts are screwed up coz I didn't think anybody had left any comments on yesterdays entry and that depressed me!!  But you have - thanks peeps ;-) Oh and if anyone knows where I can find rachelcarol's journal (if she has one please let me know!!) Maybe I already visit it without knowing.......I don't know!!  Damn feeling ill!

So Valentines day.....managed to pass and haven't felt miserable.  Just got something from Littlewoods telling me I've won a fab prize - yeah right!!  But thanks to Quatlylifecrysis (hope I've spelt that right!!) I did get a lovely e-card ;-)  Bless you hun!!

Not much to tell you about today.  Richard has been very quiet and apparently he's very upset with what was said in his meeting on Friday and the way it was handled.  I actually felt sorry for him!!  He's away tomorrow so I'll see how work goes!!  (If I manage to make it in lol)

This is a short entry just to drum up some sympathy :-)  Well a girl can try can't she!!

Take care everyone......promise I won't spread my germs too much :-P I'm off to have a lemsip and go to bed early :-)

Aaaaaaddrrrrriiiiiennnnneeeee

Hi people :-)

The title has come from the TV show I'm watching.  My ex-line manager Stuart once asked me if I'd watched Rocky and I said no.  He asked me then to say 'Adriene' like Rocky does at the end of the film.  It eventually became this thing between us coz I would never, ever say it LOL...............

Anyway sorry - that was a little trip down memory lane!!  I've been doing that a lot this weekend.

Back to reality I went to mums for Roy's 50th birthday bash.  I actually had a good time :-)  Megan was lovely throughout the day sitting on me lap and holding my hand as soon as I came off the train.  (She's not usually like that - she's a bit like mum's shadow usually)!!   Anyway we decorated the skittle alley of this pub with banners and some small embarrassing photos LOL and spent the afternoon back at mums.  At about 7.30pm, eventually my uncle turns up with a couple of other people and the 7 of us climb into my uncles van for him to drive us to the pub.  That was quite a laugh!!  At least we didn't have to walk down in our heels though, mum and I were thinking ;-)  We were the first people there and settled down for the evening.

I won't bore you with all the details and I can't even share my photos with you coz the batteries gone in my camera grrr......We had a good evening though.  Megan, mum, roy and me all danced, my brother did not!!  At one point some woman on Roy's family came over and talked to mum.  Mum pointed out that I was her daughter and Greg is her son, this woman said that she'd thought that Greg was my boyfriend......eugh LOL

The food was good - a hot buffet, it all went except for some quiche!!  There were no good lookin' blokes there unfortunately so I remain a single gal for now anyway LOL ;-)  We all got a lift home and I stayed up chatting with the grown ups!!  Mum's coming down next weekend and as Roy said he was gonna stay in Exeter that same weekend I invited mum and Megs to stay with me!!  What a muppet I am!!  We shall see what happens..............

(oooo born free I watched that with my Nan when I was little and cried :-( )

Ooo I've just remembered I haven't told you about the 3 month thingy.  Well Richard went in first, which at the time I wished he hadn't but never mind...........He was in there for nearly an hour :-0  Then it was my turn.  About 5/10 minutes later I was out of there ha ha.....No not the job, just the meeting!!  All they did was ask how I thought I was getting on, I replied with all right!!  They reckon I'm fitting into the team ok, and if I'm unsure of anything I ask.  It was quite a boast to my confidence coz they had given richard a list of things he had done wrong or at least things he needs to take into consideration.  It dawned on me though that this was probably coz he's a permanent member of the team and I'm not!!  Still it was ok and that was the main thing :-)

Apart from that I was on a downer from Friday night to Saturday afternoon, but I ain't going into that!  So as there is nothing to left to mention I shall leave you here. (ooo the colour purple - good film!!)

Have a good week people

Take care xx

Under Pressure

Hello

Can I just say well done to the west country contingent at the Brits last night!!  Muse and Joss done us proud!! :-)  Nice to see Brian (shame I couldn't see Roger but still !! )

Wow nearly a whole week of entries!!  I won't be at home on Saturday so that's why I say nearly!!  LOL

Well a crap day at work really - work's drying up again I think it's at least another week if not two before the next accounts are due.  This morning I got very angry with Richard.  (He's the bloke who sits opposite me, I've decided to name and shame him coz if he does ever stumble upon this, good!!)  Well I picked up an account that needed re-typing.  There was a note from the teamleader saying that the previous account had been amended by her but I couldn't see it.  So I sat there for nearly an hour trying to figure out how the account was figured out and if I could make it balance.

I finally decide to give up and go and ask the team leader what her note meant.  She said that the note didn't belong to that account and she was sure Richard had been working on this one I'd been looking at yesterday.  Turns out he had been and put the darn thing in the wrong tray.  This p***ed me off no end!!  What a waste of my time!!  So for the rest of the day everytime he said something to me I wanted to scratch his eyes.  A bit far fetched I know but.......

Tomorrow I have that 3 month thing.  I was talking to Richard about it.  He's going to mention the sarcastic woman and how she hasn't made our lives easy and he's gonna drop my name in it.  He thinks I should mention it too, but at the end of the day I reckon they will mention it for me!!  I'm dreading it enough without bringing up her name LOL...........Hopefully it will go ok!!  I've not made any stupid mistakes so that has to count for something.  Plus I was thinking if they wanted to get rid of me I reckon they would have done it by now!!

Rung me mum at lunchtime!!  I'm going to hers at the weekend as it's her partners 50th birthday and their having a bash for him.  I feel a bit hypocritical for going coz when he first started dating mum we never got on!!  There was something about him I didn't like!!  I guess I have grown up since then and as I don't live with them it makes life a little easier.  Anyway we got to talking and she said that Megan (that's my sister) has been talking non stop about how she wants to dance with me ...........awwww.........I was hoping she would!!  There'll probably be a roomful of adults and I'd rather spend time with her, what does that say about me LOL ;-)   My brother and my uncle will be there too so that'll be cool!!  (My uncles doing the disco)

She was also talking about coming down next Friday and I just thought how typical is that.  The last time she came down I was going out that night with my ex-colleagues.  I've managed to persuade her not to come down on Friday coz I wouldn't be able to get the time off anyway and to come down on Saturday instead.  I am going out on the Friday with my ex colleagues but I think I'll have to pace myself if I'm gonna meet up with mum the next day ;-)

Well I think that's all my news.............(ooooo my dedication has been rewarded they showed Roger during the stars talking about Mr Geldof @ the Brits LOL) happy now :-)

Take care people

Here I am again..........

Hi

I have to say there were some good responses to last nights entry.  When I was writing it I thought 'ooo this is good' but then when Stuart left his comment I got to thinking about how right he was about it all being a state of mind.  At the end of the day it's what you want from life that counts and how you get that is your decision isn't it?  :-)

Anyhoo........been to the pub with Jacki not a bad evening had a couple of drinks and food.  Looks like for our meet up on the 18th we could be going bowling.  Can't wait I haven't been bowling in ages :-)

Work was ok!!  Found out that our team leader and boss want to give us a three month review on Friday.  When I say us, I mean me and the bloke who sits opposite me!!  Apparently when this was mentioned to one of the other members of staff he said 'that's not the norm...' so this is now worrying me!!  Trina said I had nothing to worry about and it's going on in all offices, but even so................  They want us to think if there is any training we think we could have to let them know!  There's probably loads but I can't think of any - isn't that typical!!

Landlady came round and sent me an email when she'd got back to hers.  She said that everything looks ok but a couple of things for me to note, the stain on the carpet in the hallway (*phew* she didn't notice the oil stain in the living room ;-) and to put bleach down the loo to stop the limescale.  Jeez the one week I forget to do it, damn it!!  LOL..................

Well nothing else to mention........Except I see Robbie won the gong for best song.  I swear if Bo Rhap had been up he wouldn't have won *evil laugh*

Take care everyone

I was thinking.......oh no!!

Hi everyone :-)

wow another entry in so many days whatever have you done to deserve it - or not depending how you wanna look at it LOL ;-)

Sometimes when I'm at work my mind wanders and I think of some good stuff for my journal and then by the time I get home I've forgotten it - isn't that typical!!  Well today I decided it would be a good idea to write down what I wanted to say then I wouldn't :-)  - not just a pretty face LOL

Well it stems from last nights conversation on the phone with Jacki.  She was telling me about this bloke in her office whose been working there for 15 years.  Fine your thinking - well what if I said to you that in those many years he's been coming to work the same way, dropping off his kids, gets to the roundabout by 8.15am everyday at the same time and gets to work.  Leaves at the same time and probably has lunch at the same time!!  I've been thinking about this non-stop since she told me!  I mean how could he let himself get stuck in that never-ending routine.  Blimin' ell if I'd been doing that for the last 15 years I'd want someone to shoot me!!  Is it no wonder suicide deaths are high when we have to go through that?  And for what?  Where's the enjoyment?

I just don't wanna end up that way - suddenly turn round one day and find life's passed me by!  Yet when I think of all the things I wanna do I conveniently come up with an excuse not to do them - so what's the answer?  Is there another way?  I can see why it happens, especially where I'm working at the moment!  It's flexi time, not bad pay (considering down here pay is worst in the country), and pretty much job security!!  I know what your all gonna say that no job is secure but trust me there is a little bit more with this place ;-)  I started thinking about my own life and I think in the mornings yeah I am stuck in a routine but only coz I can't drag myself out of bed for a couple of days just to break the minotiny!!  (I know that's not spelt right!)  The office I work in though, my colleagues said and I quote 'no two days are the same in this place' and they are right, and for that I am thankful because that would grind me down if it was!

So what about when we get home then?  I guess we do try and vary our evenings (or at least I do :-)  just to break this routine but do we ever achieve it?

I guess what I'm trying to say I just don't understand why people put up with the same thing day in and day out!  Alright it might be 'cosy' but there is more to life and isn't it about time we saw that?

What do you guys think?  What do you do to break up the minotiny?  Let me know your thoughts :-)

(Day was ok!! Managed to check to see if I can have the 29th March off work and I can woohoo!!  Tidy flat as best as I can - unfortunately the oil stain is still in the carpet damn vanish carpet cleaner!!  Hope and pray she doesn't see it!!  Unfortunately I won't be here but if I suddenly tell you I have to move out I guess you'll soon know LOL ;-)

Take care xx

Monday Blues

Hi :-)  Hope your all ok?

Thanks for your comments once again a few things to ponder on I think!!  I have always considered doing an evening course but on what is always the tough decision!!  I'm sure something will come to mind.

Not such a bad day today!!  Work has been absolutely manic.  These new forms that the accounts are printed on has sent everyone into panic mode.  My ear hurt by midday coz of the amount of time it'd been up against the phone!  LOL.........Mind you I much prefer to be busy coz the time goes by so quickly and I don't think I did too bad on answering the queries *beams with pride*....still at least thats monday over with :-)

Had a phone call from Jacki my ex-colleague!  I miss working with her, but we were chatting about our meet later on this month.  Can't wait to see everyone again!  Jacki and I are going for a drink and something to eat on Wednesday so I've got something else to look forward too!

Well I don't think there's anything else to tell you!!

Take care xx

It's gone again.......

Hi - hope your all ok?

Well again the weekend is nearly over.........Where is the time going?  It's terrible when you look back and ask yourself so what've I achieved - nothing!!

I'm feeling down this weekend!!  Yesterday Trina came round but first I had to meet her and her finance's family at the bridal shop so the other bridesmaid could get fitted for her dress.  She's 7 years old and looked lovely in the dress she finally chose.  I don't think she could get her head round that it was her choice which dress she wore, plus every one was fussing round her and Trina wasn't taking control.  It annoyed me a bit coz it's her wedding and other people were making the decisions.  What also annoyed me was that I really didn't need to be there!  Trina was gonna show the family her dress (the groom and his brother had gone up town to find a suit!!) but unfortunately its not in the shop anymore!!

So we finish up in there and I'm thinking cool now I'll get to spend some time with Trina.  Huh!!  All of us (groom and brother included) wonder down to the new Weatherspoons.  Don't get me wrong it's not that I didn't want to be there I think I just felt as though I shouldn't be!!  I'm soooooooo useless in social situations.....I'm more of a people observer than a people talker if that makes sense!!  I felt uncomfortable and I didn't need too.  I was also kinda reminded of how alone I am or at least feel, when it hits me.  I know I am I just try not to let it win most of the time.  I think I'm feeling very lonesome and that's why I'm down!!..........but I'm rambling so I apologise!!

Eventually we left and I did get to spend some time with my mate.  Am I being selfish?  I don't know!!  When we only get to see each other every weekend though, it does make you wonder!!

Anyway we did have a laugh in the end!  I showed her my game....ha ha....for xmas she gave me one of those capsule gym ball it's called from Boots.  Well the game is to see how long you can last balancing on it before toppling off.......Yes I know I have too much time on my hands LOL...........She fell off head first when I told not too and I've never laughed so much in all my life.  Then when Wayne came to pick her up we showed him the game, but he ruined it coz he's really good at it LOL........... :-(

Today I've done not a lot except my food shopping.  As I was walking back I saw my ex's parents in their car.  I swear his mum stuck her nose in the air as she thought I was looking.  Seeing them didn't help my mood.  I was nothing but nice to them and they turned on me.......grrr........It was after that I swore never to bend over backwards and be nice to people coz that's the thanks you get!!

I went for a bike ride.  Was quite nice.....damn those people who don't move when they see a bike near them!!  See what I mean about being on a downer...........

I'm currently watching the 100 Greatest Videos on channel 4.  Some great memories watching these!!  They showed Call Me Al by Paul Simon that was the first song that I learnt all the words too........

More on this tour saga.........there's been a dropped hint that they'll play the 25th and 26th June at Hyde Park.  Trina and I are hoping they do coz the Linden Hotel is just round the corner from there and we love that place.  They still send us xmas cards :-) Definitely recommend it if your going to London.   It's just down the road from paddington station.

So the week ahead.........nothing going on in my life until next weekend.  Although the landlady wants to come round for her rountine visit on Wednesday keep you posted about that.  There was oil on the carpet but I think (thanks to Vanish) I've got rid of it ;-)

Have a good week xx

Memories

Hi guys!!

I wasn't gonna update today until I read Sara's journal and she was discussing memorys with her hubby.  It made me think and I thought I'd try and turn it into an entry :-)

I don't remember a lot from my earlier childhood, apparently I broke my arm when I was very little coz I kept banging it on the back of my high chair!!  Also I don't remember mum and dad splitting, but I was only 3 at the time!!  I do remember living with Nan and Grandad for a while, and when mum found out she'd been given a council house and we moved (don't remember the actual move though!!)

Then my memories are not hazy but I remember snippets here and there!  We lived in a village which was fantastic, coz everyone knew everyone and as I grew up in the 80's there wasn't any of this worrying too much where you were and what you were doing like there is today.  Or at least it wasn't as well reported!!  Still there were quite a few kids living there and we were roughly around the same age.  I was a bit of a tom boy but only coz the girls wouldn't come out to play :-(  I remember spending time at the castle mound at the top of the village making camps, going on private property, riding our bikes a lot.  The most fond memory I have is on summer evenings all the kids would gather up the park and play football.

I also remember getting a letter delievered to my primary school, I was invited to spend the day at my secondary school and that was quite exciting.  I remember that day too, these girls (older than me) showed me round the school at lunch coz they all knew my mum (who worked at the local supermarket LOL).......

I remember quite a bit really, which surprises me coz if you asked me what I did an hour ago I couldn't tell you LOL!!

My favourite days have to be when I was at primary school.  Just the carefree attitude, being able to do what you want all day, fab times!!

I also have memories of when my appendix burst and being off school for ages and then riding in an ambulance, and being in hospital for 3 months.  Not being able to eat at xmas :-(

Tons of memories really - one day I should tell you more!!  I guess we'll see.............

Sorry this entry is a bit here there and everywhere, with no structure but I was just seeing what I could remember!

My day wasn't too bad, still busy!!  Wicked witch has left, shame really I was just getting to like her :-)  She brought in home baked cakes, sponge with cream and jam, death by chocolate with big strawberries on top, carrot cake and my fave....Lemon drizzle cake.  I had a slice of the sponge, mmm....that was nice, and some lemon drizzle.  They used to sell that on the tea trolley when I first started working there and we all used to try to get to it first coz it was heavenly LOL......The trolley used to stop outside Trina's office first so if there was any she'd buy two pieces one for her and one for me......she really is an angel you know :-)

I forgot to tell you Brian May now tells me I have email and says goodbye to me, it's a shame it's not Roger, but still that's pretty cool - thanks AOL!!

Hope you all ok!

Take care

Can't think of a title

Hiya peeps - time for another entry!

Thanks for your comments to the last one, didn't realise my tale about the wetsuit man would prove quite popular LOL.....For information though no I don't think he was cute and for David, he was standing at the river edge and I walk past the river coz it's near where I live :-)  Hope that explains things a bit better!!

Busy again at work woohoo.....having to concentrate to which ain't easy for me!!  I have an overactive imagination and I find it hard to concentrate on one thing at a time without my mind wandering someplace else!  Still I think I'm doing alright, it's the first time I've gone through accounts by myself so I'm slightly worried about it but time will tell.........eeekkk!!  I shall keep you posted!!  No doubt if I've done something wrong P will tell me (that's the lady who sits next to me).  Was she in a bad mood today or what?  Apparently her lift was late and there was a big confusion as to who was picking up whom.  She didn't say two words to me today, and as she was going through the box of accounts she was getting huffy over the mistakes in there.  Yet the team leader had it all under control.  She needs to chill!!  She then started moaning on about how she was gonna look for a new job........I'm letting it wash over me coz I don't care anyway LOL.....

Tonight was the night out to the Weatherspoons.  It was an old church I think coz the pulpit is still there.  It looks quite classy in there but a bit smaller than what I thought.  Anyway they arranged for me to get a lift up there from work, which was nice of them :-)  We sat down at a long table and had something to eat.  I was planning to leave early to catch the bus but they planned for me to have a lift home....cool !!  Wasn't too bad, had quite a laugh, one of the blokes there gets so much stick it's unbelieveable but he's one of those types that can take it!!  I swear my cheeks were hurting so much from laughing with them.  I was home by 8pm so it wasn't too bad!!

So my next venture out will be not this weekend but next.....so more about that nearer the time!!  This weekend the other brides
