Next Entry

Hi everyone :-)  Let's carry on with this, there is so much to update you all with...........

HYDE PARK (part 3)

So we were awaiting for the band to come on stage!  Got talking to quite a few randoms, the couple in front of us were foreign and he'd come to see Queen and they were going to the park the next day for his girlfriend to see REM LOL.......they then started talking in Hebrew (or so I was told!!)  Later we were talking to the young guys behind us coz they wanted to put their bag in between us!!  At some point some person stood up so that was it everyone else did too but I couldn't work out why, there was still an hour before the first band came on stage!!  Here's a pic taken of us at the barrier taken by Isabelle:

That's Rosie, me and Trina of course :-)

Eventually after quite a wait in this sunshine, the amarillo video started playing on the big screens but a technical hitch meant that it delayed it further grrrrrrr........Later it was played again, this time with sound :-)  It was like the cock-ups of the video and they did show Roger and Brian which was cool!!  Then he appeared on stage, good ol' Peter Kay.  Here's a pic:

I love Peter Kay and he didn't disappoint me!!  First he took the camera off one of the blokes on stage and started filming the crowd.  We saw all our mates on the screen, Sarah, Alessia and that gang, James on the other side of the stage, Jules and Vern it was really funny :-)  He then got his tape recorder out and played snippets of songs that he thought said different things.........such as: *starts tape* 'But a cold wind blows, and a dark rain falls, and in my heart it shows......' *stops tape* Peter Kay says 'I'm sure it says 'Look what they've done to Mike Reid' (at this point I'm nodding turning to Trina, saying I've always thought that LOL) *plays tape* 'Look what they've done to Mike Reeeeeeeiiiiidddd' (one vision - queen) LOL......  He did quite a few songs like that, and then introduced Razorlight.  Was not looking forward to them........All I can say is the drummer is quite good but overall they didn't make me wanna rush out and buy their album.  Here's a pic:

His t-shirt had a Freddie pic on it and for anyone that's seen Razorlight they know he takes his shirt off.  This time was no exception and he threw it into the crowd.  Luckily nowhere near us!!  LOL......At one point Trina was like pull up your trousers and he must've heard her coz he did LOL........  They did one song that just seemed to go on forever!!  I couldn't believe I was managing to stand up through their set, but I did!!

There was another break whilst they got rid of Razorlights kit from the stage.  Just when we were getting bored again, we were introduced to Brian Potter.  This made me laugh coz I must've been the only person within about a 20 person radius who actually knew who he was LOL............

For those of you who don't know, it's basically Peter Kay, Brian Potter owned the Phoenix as in Phoenix Nights!!  I was never a fan of that but my ex made me watch it once, I have to admit it is quite funny!!  Anyway he started singing songs like 'Wind Beneath My Wheels' and 'You'll Never Roll Alone' LOL.....When he finished he introduced 'The Queen, well two of them anyway' LOL.........

I was ready for this, I had saved all my energy for this!!  They played the Beautiful Day remix and Rosie and I looked at each other and screamed.  It was just a moment where we had to do that!!  Eminem's Lose Yourself and then Paul came out for Reaching Out.  I was absolutely going nuts at this point!!

Claudia watch out leather trousers alert LOL.......

Here's the set list:  REACHING OUT, TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN, BREAKFREE, FAT BOTTOM GIRLS, WISHING WELL, ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST, CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE, SAY ITS NOT TRUE, 39, LOVE OF MY LIFE, IMAGINE, HAMMER TO FALL, FEEL LIKE MAKING LOVE, DRUM SOLO, I’M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR, GTR SOLO,
LAST HORIZON, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, RADIO GA GA, CAN’T GET ENOUGH, IT’S A KIND OF MAGIC, I WANT IT ALL, BO RAP, SHOW MUST GO ON, ALL RIGHT NOW, WE WILL ROCK YOU, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

I can't really remember much about it which is a shame and I didn't make a list of all the good bits.  The things I do remember though are:  Everytime Paul walked past us lot we screamed out for him and he loved it.  He would smile at us all the time.  During Tie Your Mother Down, he was in front of us on the catwalk, but he wasn't looking at us, so I shouted 'We Love You Paul'.  He heard me :-)  and blew me a kiss!!  *big grin*  I was so chuffed, now I knew a secret formula to get his attention ;-)  Trina reckoned he was like 'there you are' or something like 'what you doin' down there' but I failed to see that which is just typical!!  LOL

More leather trousers for you claudia!!  Roger didn't react to my screams choosing once again to look other everyone's heads!!  No condoms were thrown by us but I think Sarah and the gang threw some.  He made the comment expecting them to be thrown though bless him!!  After Love of My Life, they played Imagine for the bombing victims.  :-(  Brian took a verse, then Roger took a verse and then Paul.  It was so lovely, and I don't think there would've been a dry eye in the place.  The lyrics were so poignant!!  The rest of the gig was just flippin' brilliant, it really was the best I've ever been too and I'm glad I finished it on Hyde Park rather than Wembley!!

At the end of the gig the gang were going drinking, but Cat and I wanted merchandise.  I had promised someone from my fave board I'd get her a t-shirt.  We lost the gang and made our way round to merchandise.  There was such a huge queue.  Not long after getting there, and finding out that most of the stuff had been sold out, the stewards informed us it was closed!!  I had never been so angry in all my life and would punch one of the stewards.  This caused Trina and I to fall out!!  Cat managed to get her Paul t-shirt so she was happy.  The three of us made our way back to the hotel.

On our way out of Hyde Park we assumed trouble had kicked off inside coz tons of police vans turned up and went inside!!  I expect it was coz the merchandise had shut.  It wasn't fair I wanted a 'Chorley FM' t-shirt, 'where the listener comes first' LOL........Peter Kay t-shirt!!  I texted the lady I was supposed to be getting a shirt for apologising profusely I felt like I'd let her down.  We eventually got back to the hotel and managed to sleep better than I had the previous night.

We had to be up early the next morning.  Trina and I had to be home before 12.30pm for a dress fitting.  So we left the hotel without collecting our £5 key deposit and made our way to Victoria to catch the bus.  Spotted a bloke wearing a Queen t-shirt on the way :-)  Cat slept on the bus the whole way home.  When we got to Bristol, made our way to the train station and said goodbye to Cat.  Got back home and went for the dress fitting. Mine is fine I don't have to go back again, but Trina does!!

Anyway I went shopping afterwards and then spent the rest of the weekend falling out with Trina and making up again.............Certainly full of emotions that weekend..........

I'll put more photos up later :-)

Part two

Hyde Park part two

Trina and Cat disappeared back to the hotel for breakfast.  James had split his trousers and was waiting for someone to get him some new ones.  Here he is with a makeshift Waitrose bag:

 LOL!!

The day went on (obviously) and more and more people turned up and the sun got hotter and hotter.  Trina and Cat got lost on their way to the hotel and on the way back, but they did come back with cups of T, thank goodness :-)  We gave everyone their veils and sashes to wear as this was Trina's 'unofficial' hen night.  :-)  Becky and Rosie didn't really wanna wear theirs so Fairy took one of the veils and didn't take it off all day.  Fairy and I went for a walk to get more t's and coffee's.  LOL.............we got out of the park and rung Trina to find out where she had gone.  Some garage on the other side of the road, so we headed to the other side of the road.  We kept getting looks from everyone.  Mind you it was like 10am on a Friday and there were two girls wearing veils LOL...........we walked up and down the other side and even asked a road sweeper.  He gave us instructions but we couldn't understand what he said, we must have passed him at least 3 times LOL...........We went back to the park side and decided to get some from the vans that we'd seen.  Some bloke asked if one of us was the bride, basically he was gonna offer a voucher for the open topped bus tour of London :-)  Got the T's and coffee's and bacon rolls and headed back!!

So of us waited under the tree as it was the only shade on offer.  It was quite a good laugh really.  We got to talking about WWRY and Jules agreed with me that Alex Hanson was the best Kashoggi :-)  Anyway the stewards came out and started fencing off the entrance into seperate walkways.  Organisation mode switched on and we had to try and get at least one person down each row.  arrrrrrhhhhhh.....  At around 12ish some stupid person stood up in the queue and everyone else followed him.  They made it so you couldn't sit back down again coz there was no room...........grrrrrrrrrrrr

I was getting more hot and more bothered the amout of time we were waiting.  I know your all expecting me to tell you I had a great time and I think on reflection I did but queueing in the sun didn't agree with me and I was irritable!!  (plus this is a while ago and I don't remember too much about it LOL............)

More stewards appeared at 3ish and they removed the fence thingys and let us a bit more forward.  It was amazing to see the amount of people milling around.  Not just for the Gold Circle but General Admission as well.  We could see the queue for that!!  I do remember us trying to chat our steward bloke up.  He said it was his first day on the job and he liked 50 cent.  Some people have no taste LOL.........  Trina and I were carrying quite a bit so I told her I would take the bags and she can run in and save me a space.

The back of the queue were getting annoyed coz they didn't know the open time had been pushed back to 4pm.  Eventually they let us in, I let Trina go in front of me and I got stopped by the woman doing the searches.  It wasn't just the fact she wanted to see what was in the bags but she wanted the tops of the bottles opened.  I was holding up the queue big time!!  I could tell people were starting to get annoyed, especially when one bloke said 'get a move on love'.  I felt annoyed, I'd been there since 5am and all the other rows were getting in before me.  When I was eventually allowed to go there was a MASSIVE walk to get round to the stage.  I'd given up hope!!

I did find Trina - she'd saved me a space bless her, but all I could do was sit down and cry!!  Don't ask me why, I have a feeling it was all the emotion that was running through me for the past few days!!

We were all made to sit down.  The first support wasn't due on till about 7pm.  The big screens showed text messages and some crappy music was playing.  I managed to calm down but I was annoyed coz we weren't near any of our mates.  We were next to the barrier though!  Here are some photos that were taken before the gig started.

Trina in her veil and Gavin with Sarah's veil on :-)

Becky and Rosie.  I was stood next to Rosie.  She was really excited as it was her first time stood at a barrier :-)  Bless her!!

Cat's text message went up and so did Trina's but mine didn't!!  I texted something like 'Queen and Paul Rodgers are the best!!  Magic is about to happen'

Did it?  Find out in part three :-)

Hyde Park (part one)

Hi Everyone (2nd try at this entry!) I know I haven't updated for ages.  I am still reading though so at least you all know I'm ok   Trust me everything should be back to normal the week after the wedding.  I shall turn my alerts off when I'm away for the week coz unfortunately I'm not gonna have Internet access arrrrhhhh....... I have no idea what I'm gonna do with myself.  LOL..............  That's the week commencing the 14th August.  Anyway before I carry on with the main entry I have to say YAY I guessed when Kerry's baby was born and I was right LOL.......I'm so chuffed with myself!!  Right onwards and here's my review of Hyde Park for you all (at long last LOL) but I warn you it's not gonna be very good coz I can't really remember any of it LOL.............

15th July 2005 - HYDE PARK LONDON - Part one

It all started on the Thursday, I was very aware that I had been in this position before only for it to be all called off!!  So I went to work with my backpack full of clothes.  This time I was on a course and wouldn't be anywhere near a computer if something did happen.  Luckily by the end of the course I'd received no texts to tell me otherwise so the nerves started setting in!!  I caught the bus into town and then another one to the train station and met up with Trina.  Here's a pic of her in my hat:

Isn't that a nice photo? :-)  Both of us still in our work clothes we went to catch our train to Bristol.  I was getting vague sense of deja vu as we'd gone to Bristol on the same train the week before!!  We pull into Bristol and meet up with Cat and make our way to the coach station.  (Cheaper than the train apparently!!)  We were lucky as we'd managed to just swap everything across from the week before at no extra cost!!  We got to the bus station about 7ish and I felt like I needed food and went back to Tesco's.  Got lots of snacky stuff and a multibag of lollies.  Caught the 8pm coach to London and there were little TV screens on board but we couldn't hear what was showing and didn't really want to.  Not a big fan of Frasier and Little Britain!!

We got to London around 10.30pm and got of at Earls Court and went to catch a tube to Paddington.  My A-Z told me we could catch the district or circle line from there to Paddington.  Of course we couldn't though coz they had shut pretty much all the lines we wanted.  So we were stood by the board trying to figure out what to do, and the map on it was pretty small so we were huddled round it and this obnoxious bloke says 'are you gonna let anyone else see it?' Git!!  We decided on our route and went down to the platform.  I felt extremely uneasy and it didn't help that there was loads of posters about the bombings and one said that over 60 bags left unattended in ONE week.  How anyone can leave their bag unattended is beyond me!!  Once on the tube Trina kept asking me if I was ok, and at one point she said I looked really pale.  I couldn't help it, I felt very uncomfortable being trapped down there!

We get to Paddington and meet up with Becky and Rosie who caught the train from Bristol.  We've agreed they can kip in our hotel room so we check in, take their bags with us and then go for some food.  By the time we got back reception was closed so we managed to get them in ;-)  It was supposed to be a triple room but the double bed was more like a single.  It was so HOT in our room but it was a good laugh with the 5 of us in it!!  We decided what time we were gonna get up and tried to get some sleep, queueing overnight had been knocked on the head coz Sarah had texted earlier in the evening to say she wasn't queueing overnight!!

Friday

The alarm went off at 4am.  By 4.30am we were walking round to Hyde Park.  Came out of the hotel, headed right and just before the turning a white van went passed and the blokes inside honked their horn at us - how cool is that at that time of the morning :-)  It was a fairly long walk from the hotel to the golden circle entrance.  I was kinda hoping we would be the first at that time of the morning, no such luck!!  Sarah, Alessia, Jamie, Matt and James plus a load of randoms were all there!  Atabout 6/6.30 Vern and Jules arrived and at 9/10ish Fairy and Funster turned up - the gang were back together again!!  I don't know why but it felt different!!  Maybe coz I was cold and didn't sleep a wink the night before, I just wasn't in a happy YAY Queen paul rodgers mood as this photo kinda shows!!

That's me standing up in the blue coat not looking very happy.

Would my mood improve................find out in the next entry :-)

Working Too Hard!!

*sob sob, sob sob* I can't believe that!!  I've just spent a long time writing an entry that wouldn't submit and so I lost it and have to start again grrrrrrrrrrr.................

Right let's try again!!  Hello everyone how are you?

Thought I better update again as I'm going away for yet another weekend.  Off to Trina's for the hen night.  I'm so glad I'm not the bride LOL........Her workmates are planning the evening and they reckon it'll be fun to try and get kicked out of as many pubs as possible!!  I fail to see the fun in that, but that maybe coz I don't really do 'going out'!  To be truthful I'm not looking forward to it but I expect I'll enjoy myself once I'm there which is just typical of me LOL.......

I have no idea where I am getting the money for this from!!  My redundancy money has run out due to the tour, and my recent excursion on Ebay hasn't helped.  It's quite addictive though!!  I can see why people get addicted to it.  I have won 4 auctions though so that can't be bad can it :-)

Work is busy.  I think Pauline and myself have worked quite hard this week.  We had a meeting yesterday with the big boss, who wanted to tell us he's in the middle of some big important job which requires him to write a report about specific subjects.  From what he was saying, depending on his findings there could be some job losses in our department.  Arrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh I can't believe I've gone into a job which may have loses.  I know it can happen anywhere so I shan't let it get to me - well not yet anyway LOL.........  I heard also during this meeting that bitchiness is in full swing.  In the office there are two sections and apparently one of the team leaders of the other section has stated that people like me in our team are earning too much money for the work we do!!  *shocked look*  I can't believe people would say such a thing, I mean jeez Devon earns the lowest wages in the country so really we are all earning a pittance anyway!!  We deal with a lot of crap and I think we do deserve it.  Anyway it's making me be a lot more cautious about the people I work with.

So more bombs in London.  Eventually the city is gonna be so used to it that these stupid terroists are gonna have to strike somewhere else.  I do feel immensley lucky that I wasn't there and it didn't happen during the weekend!!  I can't even begin to tell you how much I can't stand terrorists but I expect it's the same as everyone else here in J-land.

What else is there to tell you?  I've sent lots of mine and Trina's photos to the queen site that's requesting them.  They are trying to create a collage of as many fan photos as they can get.  If it's any good when it's completed I'll post the link here for you guys to see it :-)

To Claudia.....mmm......paul in leather.........mmmmmmmmm.....!!!!

I think that was all I wrote the last time, I shall catch you all next week and I'm slowly catching up on the journals :-)

Take care everyone xx Have a super weekend!!

Tuesday 19 July 2005

Finally time for an update

Journallers!!  Firstly I must apologise, with all these weekends away I haven't had the time to catch up on your journals.  I'm getting there but it's very slowly.  I don't wanna spend an entire evening just reading journals if you know what I mean!!

I figured it was about time to give you an update.  I was gonna do it last night but for the first time in my life I got caught up in an Ebay auction.  It closed at 12pm so I stayed up to make sure I won.  Naturally some nasty person outbid me on one with 10 seconds to spare grrrr.......but I won the other - yay :-)  It's only Queen stuff - nothing interesting really LOL.......I would've brought this stuff at the convention if I was going, but can't afford to go but want this stuff, so figured ebay would be the best place to go!!

I shall write a review of the gig but I don't have time at the mo, what with trying to catch up on journals and message boards, and ebay auctions!!  Plus the flat is in a mess considering for the last two weekends I haven't been here!!  Unfortunately I'm going out again this weekend - staying at Trina's for the Hen Night arrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!  She's insisting that she's gonna get me drunk LOL yeah right she's the bride - to - be!!  She's gonna get hammered LOL.........I don't get hungover and this time ain't gonna be any different :-)

Work is extremely busy at the mo!!  Pauline and I are on our own coz Team Leaders on hols this week!!  I couldn't get over how busy it was yesterday.  We are in the middle of sending out our accounts and everyone who rang yesterday just wanted to moan.  I spoke to one bloke who I thought I was doing alright with, but had to pass him over to Sandra.  When I did that I welled up, which I couldn't believe but I expect this was only coz I'm tired LOL.........  Today Sandra brought everyone carrot cake coz we deserved it from the busyness of yesterday!!

The gig was fantastic, but I won't go into that too much now!!  Shall write a proper review soon :-)  I assumed I had so much to say to you guys but I can't think of anything now so I shall share some pics that we took over the weekend instead!!

Cat, Me and Trina @ Bristol station!!

My fave shot of Paul :-)

Awwww Roger :-)

Well I expect that's wetted your apetite for more but you'll just have to wait :-P  LOL

Take care everyone

Oh just before I go the guys at work were talking about the muppets - so I wanted to post this blinkie which I adore :-)

Waiting with baited breath!!

Hey fellow journallers!!  What's up??  Don't have much to say except here we go again!!  I don't even wanna think about what will happen if we can't go this weekend!!  I am hoping they won't strike again after just one week though.  Still I shall make my way to London tomorrow evening.  I'm feeling quite relaxed at the moment as I'm not technically working tomorrow.  I am going on a customer care course.  Apparently there is some involvement but no role plays YAY, can't stand role plays!!  Especially videoed ones where you have to all sit there and watch them back grrrrr..........Although I have also been informed it's not one of those that you can sit at the back and fall asleep to either.  Apart from one lady from our department I don't know anyone else there, that's the only scary bit about it.

Anyway, what else is there to go on about??  I have no idea where the little creature's gone that I flicked away the other day.  I have had a very lazy week this week, plus I'm eating what I wanna which is not very good but who cares!!??

Really not sure what else to tell you, and I have washing up to do before I go to bed.  Early night needed desperately!!

Take care all!!  Have a fab weekend!!

The Weekend!

Hi Everyone, oh my where do I start??  Firstly I apologise for not commenting on all your journal entries since Thursday.  I am trying to catch up but it's one hell of a task ;-)  Just thought I would have a break from reading them to try and give you an update.

Thursday - wake up, feeling fairly happy and excited about the weekend ahead.  Get to work with all my stuff and try and concentrate on work.  Some point during the morning James says he's read that there's been an explosion in London.  I'm like 'what??' so he says it again.  I'm like 'oh!'  Start reading the news on the Internet later and start panicking, not just because I'm supposed to go there but also because of the people I know there!!  Queen mates travelling up a day early.  Starts frantic phone calls!!  Lunch time rolls round, not hungry, log onto QOL to find out what's going on!!  Large thread, everyone checking that everyone's ok!!  No phone signals in London so everyone's logged on.......never seen so many people logged on!  Worry seeping into me, feel so helpless, can't concentrate on my work.  Receive a phone call from friend travelling up, she's stuck in Reading, but she's ok and making her way home!  Will gig be cancelled?  What if they cancel and reschedule for the 13th Aug?  Will the hotel give my money back?  I just couldn't believe any of it.  I mean there I was standing by the printer, looking out across the lawn at that serene, peaceful landscape, all the time thinking about the chaos in London and how wrong it seemed we were carrying on!!

Eventually Trina rings to say she's arrived and to meet her outside for Wayne to drive us to the station.  Get to station in time for train.  Sit in car debating what to do!!  Receive text message, gig postponed to next Friday.  First thought was 'oh no that's the day the accounts are due I'll never get the day off', more panic!!  Razorlight play on the radio and I burst into tears.  I've been welling up all day and finally let them go.........We decide to go to Bristol and stay with Cat for the weekend.  I don't really wanna be there but tag along anyway.

As soon as we arrive in Bristol Cat takes us to her local for a 'couple' of pints.  They chuck us out at closing time!!  I was bored rigid.  I don't go out clubbing, pubbing whatever you wanna call it because I'm a people watcher more than a social person and don't find it easy to mix, unless they are Queen fans. ;-) Nobody in the pub was, and Trina was getting on well with everyone and I just wanted to go home.  The whole day had been FUBAR!!  We started the long walk to Cat's place, Trina and I still had our bags, and I started moaning how I wanted to go home.  I didn't, I went to Cat's with the girls, but I wasn't enjoying myself.  Plus at that time I should've been in London!!

Friday - Woke up quite late.  No hangover, I don't seem to get them *touches wood* LOL.......Cat makes bacon sarnies and we watch Charmed.  Then we get up and walk down to the station to meet Sarah.  She had flown back from Cologne on Thursday and was in London most of the day, walking here, there and everywhere, just trying to get home and out of the capital.  Met Sarah and went round to the Weatherspoons for more drink and food :-)  Had a good chat, she convinced us to go to the QOL meet up in November, so we booked our WWRY tickets there and then.  Managed to get Row B seats near Sarah and Gavin, cool!!  She had to go not long after that, had to see the docs and make her way to Arnhem for a gig.  After seeing Sarah off at the train station, we get munchies and make our way back to Cat's.  She falls asleep, so Trina and I end up watching BB.  Can't say I was shocked Maxwell went, before his name was called I mouthed his name, which I thought was quite strange coz I assumed Science was going!!

Saturday - Got up, had bacon sarnies :-)  and ventured into town, far  too hot!!  Managed to get some stuff for the 'hen' party at Hyde Park next week.  We got some sashes, and veils for the girlies!!   Should look good and hopefully we'll get a comment from the band if they see us LOL..............dream on Jen!!  Looked for new shoes for work, couldn't find any, had an ice cream, then made our way home.  Cat and Trina had their afternoon nap, whilst I browsed the internet on Cat's laptop.  I want one!!  LOL..........After a while Cat got up and made us some food.  Sweet and sour chicken and rice.  Very nice and tasty.  Then down to the pub for more booze.  I was all prepared to be bored again but had a right laugh.  Hardly anyone in the pub (there was more on Thursday) but we kept putting tunes on the jukebox.  First cheesy ones, then rock ones.  We had a run of Queen tunes, followed by Amarillo and all three of us were singing rather loudly to these.  We were joined by some random though LOL  Had to keep Trina's mind off her other half who was on his stag do, (because of his headaches he hasn't had a drink in years, but this weekend he was going for it, but this could trigger them off!!)..........Pub closed and we made a fuss of the dogs, then walked home.  Put on a Queen video and started singing loudly again.  :-)  Fell asleep soon afterwards.

Sunday - Woke up fairly earlyish.  Watched Hollyoaks and then the grand prix.  Not a GP fan, but actually sat and watched it all :-)  Cat cooked a roast, bless her!!  Haven't had a roast in yonks and that was delicious.  She and Trina had their afternoon nap, so I watched the OC....oooo twist's love 'em!!  Then it was time to head home.  Walked to train station.  Too hot!!  Cat couldn't get our tix out for next week....ooo er!!  Said she'd post them to us, cross your fingers peeps!  Got on train, boredom ensued, so Trina and I had a water fight towards the end of the journey, LOL...........Not quite as bad as what your imagining I reckon ;-)  Got home and found I had no milk.  Got bike out and cycled to get some.  Home again, bucket of cold water and my feet arrrrrhhhhh......... It was a good weekend, even after all that atrocity.  I won't go into detail about what I feel about terrorists.  All I know is I hate them!!

Monday - Managed to get day off for Friday.  Team Leader knew it had been cancelled and agreed straight away coz she knew that I was gonna ask LOL.........I was all prepared to beg and everything LOL.......Couldn't concentrate at work, melting most of the day..........Went shopping when I got home and tried to tidy the flat.  Not really happening so sat and tried to catch up on my reading.   Sat down to eat my tea and was flicking through TV mag and suddenly there's a creature on the sofa under the mag.  Flick it away and now don't know where it is.......arrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!  Don't you just hate it when that happens.

Well I think your pretty much up to date now :-)

If anyone knows how to play tracks that you download, that you've paid for please let me know!!  I have windows player 9, and I've managed to play them before but I can't remember how!! - thanks peeps!!

Take care everyone xx

Hyde Park!!

Hey everyone!!

I just wanna start this entry like this:

First - yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy  (Yesterday I had it planned what I was gonna say but today I've forgotten it LOL......there was a 2nd, possibly a 3rd and a 4th but I can't remember what they were!!)

The yay is for yesterday but more about that later.  Let's see what's been happening.  Monday at work, it was our turn to do the Personal Allowances, got to the part where we had to print this report out and had entered the date and suddenly the lights went out and the computers went blank.  No explanation at all, just had to reboot etc.  That was the most exciting thing that happened on Monday, isn't that sad LOL..............

Tuesday - Richard and Judy - did anyone watch it??  Set my video recorder and toodle off to work.  Got there sat down, started worrying I'd not set the date right, LOL typical me!!  Get home, see the lights on the recorder had disappeared and felt happy :-)  Roger was on!!  Yay!!  And the best bit they showed clips from the Sheffield recording.  I've watched them 6 times now and I still can't point me out but I could see Gavin and I know I'm around there somewhere LOL.........

Spare a thought for Gav, he's a policeman in Scotland.  No doubt he's really busy at the mo.......I watched the news when the first riots started out and I couldn't work out why, I thought maybe I'd blinked and missed it!!  Can this country ever just get on with it, without having to cause trouble?  Now we've got the olympics coming over!!  That was funny when we heard it announced at work team leader said that it'll probably be three-legged sack races, whilst crying an egg and spoon LOL.......That would be funny!!  You just know there is going to be trouble, or maybe we'll be lucky.

Oh well just tomorrow at work then off to London and a gig on Friday.  I can't be bothered to turn my alerts off coz I'll be home again on Sunday but I probably won't read all the alerts coz I'll be here till next week I expect LOL........and still not have caught up!!  I'm not looking forward to it and I'm beginning (or still) panicking about it all.  I need to calm down otherwise I won't sleep properly tonight.  I mean we have to make it to the train station during rush hour, then we have to get to London and then to Paddington before 11.30pm otherwise we can't check into the hotel.  Arrrgggghhhh!!

I think I need to go and play some bingo before I go to bed.  Try playing AOL's fortune bingo it's a right laugh :-)  I hardly ever win but I think I'm addicted!!

Take care everyone and have a superb weekend (apparently the weathers gonna be alright for ya!)

Sunday!

Hi Everyone hope your ok!!

I've kinda cheered up but not much...........still I shan't go on about it anymore.  I don't really have much news to tell you.  I managed to finish my book on Friday.  I had about 10 pages left so I decided to stay up and read it until I finished it :-)

Saturday Trina came round and we sat and watched Live 8!!  Well didn't everyone??  I can't type that I was impressed coz I wasn't!!  It just wasn't spectacular at all........if you asked me what I thought the highlight was I would have to say Peter Kay getting the crowd to sing Amarillo, mainly because I hope he does it on Friday, when I'm there in Hyde Park............soooooooooo not looking forward to the run to the stage.  LOL  The one thing I did find moving was seeing the video of the africans that inspired Bob to do all that in the first place.  At the end was a picture of a child, Trina and I were convinced that minutes after that film was taken must've died.  No she was there, she's passed her exams, with our help!!  That was truely amazing and we were both in tears!!  I came on line a bit later and looked at the Live 8 message board and there was a thread which said the whole thing was a complete waste of time and that the africans should help themselves.  I couldn't believe that there were people out there that think like that...........but I shall stop myself there before I rant and rave about it!!

We did venture out and got some munchies and wine.  We managed to drink about a bottle and a half between us and felt slightly worse for ware!!  Needless to say I really can't take my booze, well not wine anyway LOL..........  So that ended up being quite amusing!!

Trina's wedding is not long to go now.......preperations are still under way for everything.  If anyone has any suggestions for a hen night please let me know in the comments :-)  Thanks guys!!  It would appear we are going as cowgirls.  Of course I'm only mentioning this coz Four Weddings and a Funeral is on and I like this film!!

I've finally watched Pirates of the Caribean.  Was given it on DVD ages ago and finally got round to watching it!!  It's alright I suppose!!  Shall have to watch it again and give a proper opinion LOL.

Today I flaked out in front of the TV, well what's the point of doing something just for the sake of doing it ;-)  I'm getting that dreaded Monday morning feeling and I am not looking forward to the week ahead at work.  The accounts aren't due for another week or so, so goodness knows what work we are gonna do!!  This week is gonna drag I can imagine it.................

Anyway I'm gonna leave you here and crawl onwards towards Friday......It's certainly come round quicker than I thought it would!

Take care

Jen xx
