An Update

It was about time I gave you an update on my work situation.  All last week I was debating as to whether I actually wanted to stay with the company and I don't envy anyone who has to go through that situation.  So on Friday last week I emailed them and told them I'd changed my mind and wanted to be put forward for the other position that was going.  I understood that they were only recruiting one person for it but I knew more about this position and I really didn't want to do shifts which I would've had to do as part of the other one. (confused you soon will be ha ha..................)

My interview was yesterday and as I had the attitude of 'I don't care' I did quite well but I was still subdued about it.  I started thinking I need to know what the redundancy package was so I could make an informed decision as to which direction I wanted to go in.  They told me yesterday that they would let me know on Thursday.

They contucted some more interviews today and just after lunch the boss came down and asked me to go upstairs.  They told me they weren't going to offer me the position and that it had apparently been a very hard decision for them as I interviewed well.  So the decision had been made for me.

And how do I feel??  See the picture :-)  I am not sure what I'm going to do now but hopefully I'll find a job that I'll be really happy in.  Or at least 50% happy with ha ha ha ha ha...........

On a happier note my best mate went for an interview today too.  She informed me that she has been offered the post and has taken it - she is very happy about this too.

Well fingers crossed for the looking, you interviewed well so that's not going to be a problem for you.  Good luck in the search, something is out there with your name on it. xxR.

Hope things turn out well for you Jen.  At least you know what is happening, small comfort for the shabby way this outfit has performed though.

You might find later that it has been the best thing for you. Our daughter had the same thing.  She took some time off then was offered a job through someone she had known in her first company.  She was never happier and is going back to them next year.  So, wishing you much luck.
