Hiya ~ oooo another entry in two days ~ ain't you the lucky ones..........

I was actually deleting my bbq pics from my documents and came across some more that I should've posted last time ~ whoops!!  These are a mixture from Saturday and Sunday night and the lights of Torquay are taken by Jamie who was doing strange things with effects and stuff I think!!  Thought you'd like to see them anyway :-)

Can you believe that I've been dumped on Saturday for a measley £35 ~ I ask you is that all I'm worth??  I was due to meet Trina this weekend and we were gonna go to Babbacombe Model Village coz they have snow scenes apparently and that would be cool (oooo and the minilluminations tee hee hee I love that word, can't say it but I love it anyway ;-)  Still never mind.............shall have to think of some other way to entertain myself which does not cost anything!!

She's actually going to give me back her year book that I created for her last year so I can update it for this year.  Not for a present but just coz I'm better at stuff like that (that sounds really mean sorry Trine xx)  So I've got that to look forward too........Probably won't be able to do much without the photos though!!  Mmmm.........I expect there'll be some way around that!!

Well I don't want to go on any longer.........it took long enough to get the photos to load up.  I shall start the write up of the next adventure to tell you about next entry me thinks ;-)  so until then xx

Read Only if Bored - you have been warned lol

So here we are into another week and we're getting closer to xmas aren't we??  Thank god that means a week off work ~ woohoo!!  So how's your week going?  Mine's generally been the same, accounts, people moaning, power cuts (yep we had one of them today), etc etc............P is still off so myself and team leader are being kept very busy.  Usually we would've sent the bulk of the accounts already and started on the NCC's (no current contributions for those that want to know what NCC stands for ;-) but we haven't got that far!!  I don't know how P works so quick, I'm trying my best but I'm certainly lacking something :(  Probably the enthusiasm................Anyhow as I always say and pretty much live by ~ you can only do your best!!

I don't really have much else to say!!  Hmmmm....do you believe that??  Let's see what I can ramble on about then?  Trina and Wayne were on their way to see Iron Maiden in Cardiff yesterday.  They went one way and the road was blocked due to an accident, so they turned round and went a different way, which was blocked due to roadworks.  So they followed the signs for the diversion and end up breaking down and causing a problem for the traffic as it was down a narrow lane................ha ha ha........I was laughing so much when I heard this!!  They did make it to their gig whilst the support band were on stage, which they didn't mind missing!!

Talking of gigs can you believe Roger played at a gig at weekend and I wasn't there *shock horror*  Yes I have to admit sometimes that does happen!! :(  I've just watched a video a friend took of the gig and I feel regretful coz I didn't go but I know in my heart of hearts that I made the right decision.  I couldn't afford it :(  Let's hope he does some more!!

Did you watch any of that variety performance thing?  What I can't understand is why take Holby City off for it, but to show that on Thursday (at least I think that's what they said!!)  The Bill is on Thursdays so why not stick the Variety thing on then when there is an alternative to watch ~ unlike tonight.  Saying that though every time I flipped back to channel 1 coz the ads were on, I found myself enjoying it.  I saw Spamalot (I have to see that next year!!), Sound of Music (weren't there 3 boys and 3 girls in the film version??), some comedians which were very funny etc etc.....

I finished my letter to my Nan and posted it today :-)  I've started one to my Aunty now ~ aren't I a good relative!!  I found out all these years I've been spelling my aunty's name wrong.  Her name is Sonia and that's how I've been spelling it ~ according to the xmas card I got yesterday it's spelt Sonja (since when??) *shrugs shoulders*

Just one more xmas present to turn up and this one's fairly important and the person that asked for it is going to be upset if it doesn't arrive me thinks!!  According to the website the delivery can be anytime between the 6th and the 19th!!  What do I do if it's not here by then??  It's too late to order it online and I don't know any shops that I can get it from??  Plus I would end up with two copies, which I don't really want!!  Arrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Never Growing Up

Hiya everyone :-)

Well I haven't forgotten ~ I thought I might coz my brain is like a sieve sometimes.  I'm amazed I can remember my own name half the time (well ok that's a slight exaggeration but you see what I mean ;-)  I've added Ga Ga pics coz I'm sure I've told you about that already and the ruined jumper!!  Evidence LOL

So have you had a good weekend?  Mine's been okay actually.  I received my first xmas card (thanks Jeannette ~ Travels).  I made a pact with myself that when I receive my first card I would put the tree up, or if I got bored first.  Luckily the card arrived first lol.........so I got the box out and assembled it before doing the hoovering, otherwise there would be green stuff everywhere and that wouldn't do. 

So I did my housework, and went food shopping.  Had to go whilst it had stopped raining.  (I cycle round to the shops to get my shopping see..........) It stayed bright pretty much all afternoon, so I decided to go for a bit of a wonder and spent more money *tut tut* at me.  It's the banks fault they approved my overdraft!!

When I got back I set about decorating the tree.  As I found my santa hat I wore it to try to get me in the mood for doing such a task ~ it wasn't really happening and I still don't feel xmassey but I love the lights on a xmas tree :-)  I also started and finished wrapping the pressies I have.  Still waiting for two to be delivered :(

Today I've done nothing (isn't that always the case on a Sunday for me ;-)  I've watched a film 'Fierce Creatures', and been on the computer ever since.  But I've started a letter to my Nan.  The last time I spoke to her on the phone I promised her I would write to her soon, and she said I wouldn't.  I don't like to be known as a person that doesn't keep her promises, why make one if you don't keep it!!  There's already one person who does that in this family and I'll be damned if I'm tarred with the same brush!!

Well I think I've lost what I was going to say and the whole point to this entry in the first place ~ sorry peeps. 

I know ~ I shall explain about Bob (see pics).  Trina and I get bored on our many train journeys and often resort to childish behaviour (for example we once had a water fight on a train LOL there was water all over the window LOL) ~ so just for a laugh I drew a face on my finger, took a picture on Trina's mobile phone and Bob was created.  He now  has his adventures wherever we go.  At some point I'll share some of the pics we've taken of him.   See I'm right in what I say about how I never grow up LOL ;-)

More from the summer

Hey peeps ~ I'm late doin' this entry but that's down to AOL grrrrrrrrr........it just chucked me off as I was updating my myspace profile!!  I couldn't log back in so I had to restart my machine.  Wouldn't even shut down properly ~ that's not good!!  Anyway happier news I've finished my chrimbo shopping YAY :-)  Just waiting for ordered things to turn up now.  If they don't at least everyone's got something to unwrap.  Just two more things to arrive now I think!!??  So as I've had a tough day on my own at work I shall carry on telling you about me adventures...................

BBQ continued :-) 

The next day I woke up around 9/10ish, when Trina popped in to see if I was awake. I scared her half to death when I pretend to be and then scream at her when she gets a bit closer (it's very amusing ;-) We went downstairs to join everyone else and had bacon sarnies for breakfast *yum*

We didn't do much, watched Bill Bailey DVD and some Red Dwarf (as we had been discussing them the night before). Bev had to leave quite early so Trina and Dan walked her to her bus stop. Whilst they were gone everyone else started packing their stuff away and generally tidying up.

A bit later Trina and Wayne took Jamie down to the bus station to pick up Gabriele, their luggage had arrived late the night before so he agreed to come down for the night on Sunday. Dan, Becky and Dave left not long afterwards as they had wanted to meet Gabriele. It was decided that Sarah, Jamie, Gabriele and myself would stay for another night. So most of us went and sat outside as it was a much brighter day than it had been on the Saturday. Trina continued to tidy up and I was playing around with her phone (she'd just got a new one!)

We decided to get something for tea so everyone ordered take away apart from me (coz I'm awkward) and had a chip butty made for me by Trina :-) Around sixish we decided to go down to the fair again. This time Trina and myself waited for the 2nd car run and started to watch a video which Bev had given to Trina. It's a copy of our Media Studies project so it's us and everyone we know from Secondary School messing around in the main hall at lunchtimes. OH DEAR LORD!! It's the funniest yet most embarrassing thing ever!! Eventually Wayne came back and we joined the others down at the fair. This time I suggested that he park up by the train station coz it's closer to the fair ~ as he goes to put the money in the machine he finds a ticket not being used and still valid so takes it! As we were walking away the family who owned the ticket asked if we'd seen it ~ bless them!!

Went on the bumper cars first ~ it was THE BEST!! Our group were the only people on there and it was going REALLY fast. Next the gang went on the roller coaster train again ~ more chances to laugh at Trina lol. They also went on the ghost train, the hooplas, shooting game, football game (Jamie wanted a hammer, so it ended up being Italy aka Gabriele v's England aka Wayne LOL), another ride that I can't remember the name of but could describe it LOL. I think we went on the bumper cars again and everyone except Wayne and myself went into a kiddie's fun house ~ oh dear!!

Later we decided to go home and Trina and I ended up having to wait for the car to come back again, it was a bit chilly by this point. When we were all there we (well everyone apart from me, I just sat and laughed at them all), played charades and more eating and drinking ensued. I went to bed not long afterwards.

On the Monday we all woke up fairly earlyish. Another breakfast of bacon sarnies (I think!!) and we watched some rubbish on TV. Sarah had to catch an early train home so she left not long afterwards.

Jamie, Gabriele and Wayne played Monopoly with the new credit card thingy. I made video's on Trina's mobile and she was busy tidying up. She also cooked us some more food. We had to leave later though to drop Jamie and Gabriele off at the bus station. We waved them off and Wayne and Trina drove me home ~ It was a good weekend and I am lookin' forward to much of the same, same time next year!!

So at some point I'll post the pictures to go along with these entries (sorry if they've been a bit long!!)  Until then thanks for reading xx

Let's Go Backwards

Evenin' one and all :-)  I've decided that I've done enough rambling for you all other the last few entries so I've finished off another of my adventure write ups ~ so I shall share this with you.  Enjoy xx

TRINA'S ANNUAL BAR-B-QUE 26th to 28th AUGUST 2006

The day started out warmish  and showers were forecast but still I went down to Trina's by train on the Saturday in the morning to help them set up before the rest of our friends arrive, so I met Trina and Wayne at the train station. Unfortunately she still needed a few bits and pieces so we had to go shopping first. We parked up in the car park and cut through Debenhams to get to the town centre. Wayne and I started laughing at the lady announcer in the Debenhams lift. If you've ever heard Aerosmith's Love In An Elevator (or at least seen the video) you would have been laughing too. It sounded just like that woman......................'Hello Mr Tyler, going.........down' LOL

Once we got back to theirs, Trina continued with the food preparation and left Wayne the job to put up the gazebo which she had borrowed from work. He seemed to be doing fine so I just stayed out of the way. Eventually though all 3 of us were out there trying to assemble this frame. It looked huge LOL but Trina assured us that once the cover was on it would look a lot smaller. Wayne and I shared a knowing look!! We tried to get the cover on and even managed to secure a couple of the pegs in but one side wouldn't go down, plus by now it was slightly windy and looked like it wasn't gonna stay up. So we gave up entirely (by this point one of the cats was trying to help us LOL), and decided to take the thing back down. We got the table and chairs out and the BBQ itself of course!! Trina went back to get the food ready.

I stayed inside watching TV figuring again that it was best to stay out of the way and wait for them to shout help!! Eventually Wayne came in to join me as they'd managed to get the Bar-b-que working :-) So he turned the channel's over and started watching an old Star Trek episode. Not long afterwards the first guest arrived (I don't really count myself as a guest!!) it was Stuart, he works with Wayne (I wasn't even aware that he had been invited). I had met him at the wedding reception. After Stuart had a tour of the house, they decide to get the barbque going, so I joined them outside and Stuart and I braved a burger - they were very nice, especially with some relish. We all had a bit of a moan about work and told Stuart about our Queen friends that were arriving. He's not a Queen fan and was really there to keep Wayne company. 

Sarah, Dan, Becky and Dave arrived a little bit later (I think I was on my 2nd burger when they got there lol), and after we all said hello's etc they joined us in having some food. Alcohol was starting to make an appearance at this barbque already LOL :-) Sarah told us about her trip on a posh cruise and how she had met Tommy Ball and showed us the pictures!! I don't remember the time but Jamie arrived after being collected by Wayne and Trina at the bus station. Unfortunately Gabriele was not with her as he had been left in charge to find their missing luggage. They had recently come back from a trip to Italy to see Gabriele's parents and their luggage had not turned up. Basically everything they owned was in those bags so they were not very pleased about the whole situation. Jamie spent quite a lot of time on the phone to Gabriele and other people trying to sort the mess out!! 

Shortly afterwards Wayne and Trina go to collect Bev. I get a phone call telling me to tell Stuart about what had happened to Bev so he wouldn't be shocked when he saw her, (Bev had acid thrown in her face when she was baby sitting several years ago and is left badly scarred!!) was not amused at having to do this but after getting more alcohol I managed to find the words to tell him. Hello's were said when she turned up and more drinking and eating and merriment followed :-) 

Gary and Steve are the last ones to arrive ~ Gary is a mad Queen fan and we first met him at The Kintyre Hotel in Torquay which was run at the time by Phoebe (Peter Freestone, to nonQueen fans lol, he was Freddie's personal assistant). Gary is a lovely bloke but we'd never really talked to Steve before ~ at least now we can say he's a lovely bloke too lol............ So the drinking, eating and merriment continues and at some point Becky and Dave (who were on a special diet) made chocolate bananas for everyone ~ I didn't have one but everyone who did said they were lovely!! I was stuffed by this point lol...............God knows how many burgers I'd had and there was still a lot of food left!! The weather stayed okay for us. I say okay coz it didn't sunshine all that much but at least the rain held off :-) I did feel one or two spots of rain during the day but luckily it didn't get any worse.

Just like last year we all decided it was time to head down to the fair. Gary, Steve and Stuart all left at this point as they had other stuff to do and I'm not entirely sure they wanted to venture to the fair with a bunch of mad Queen fans LOL............So Wayne takes one car load down (as usual he's the only one who wasn't drinking ~ bless him!) so the rest of us decide to clear stuff away. When we were carrying the barbque indoors Trina breaks my thumb - well not quite but it blimin' well felt like it..........The car comes back for us and we make our way down there. Sarah played me something on her Ipod so we end up listening to it the whole way down. Everyone else (aka Wayne, Trina and Bev) had to listen to our singing!! We listened to the Wurzels so were doing our very worst west country accents lol 

Wayne parked the car in the multi storey car park and we had to walk round to the fair which felt like a flippin' long way :( It was already dark so we had left it quite late to get down there. Once we get there the others had already been on the trampolines ~ Photos were taken and we all descended on the rides. First was the bumper cars, I think I was with Sarah and that was rather amusing!! Unfortunately Wayne and Trina had to wait for the 2nd go as there weren't enough cars :( We went on several other rides (well I say we but I did not partake in all of them coz I'm a wimp LOL) such as the octupuss, the waltzers, (becky, dan and bev went on them, Jamie tried to climb a tree at this point??!!), the ghost train, theroller coaster train, (Wayne and I laughed at Trina whilst she was on that one lol).

The rides started to close a bit later so we decided it was time to go home. Trina, Sarah, Bev and I waited for the 2nd car trip and sat and looked at the sea (it was cold though)!! In the car on the way back home Sarah was outvoted and we listened to some Foos :-) Once we were all back home more drinking ensued and games were played. I tell you something those friends of mine have some v. disgusting minds lol Most of us went to bed fairly earlyish..................

Something for the Weekend

  Hey People, how are you all??  I want to apologise firstly coz I am behind in my alerts again doh!!   I will catch up (I know you've heard that before but I shall indeed ;-)

So have you had a good weekend?  Yesterday was such good fun.  Trina and I decided to do our Xmas shopping, so we met at 10am and went to our usual cafe for a bacon sarnie :-)  Whilst waiting for Trina to come back with the food I rung mum's and spoke to the birthday girly Meggy-Moo!!  Everyone sing Happy Birthday to my ickle sis ~ bless her!!  She's 9 now, it's scary to think she's gonna be in the double figures next year *freak out* LOL................

After our sarnies and a good ol' natter, we went and started our shopping.  I had to laugh at Trina, after about 4/5 shops she was already laden down with heavy bags!!  Clearly not good planning on our behalf.  We lost each other in Smith's and she rung me to find out where I was and it was so funny trying to direct her, but I guess you had to be there ;-)  Whilst in there I bumped into several people I knew including someone from work.   It was turning into that sort of day lol

I was lucky as during our trip I got an idea of what to get for Trina so that was good.  I got my brother's pressie but wasn't having any luck with anyone else.  (I'm very strange, I tend to go on a shopping trip with mum and spend nothing, one with Trina and spend little and go by myself and get it all done lol ~ don't ask me why!!)  Eventually we had to stop for lunch in Woolworths as we were near there and I had a desperate need for the loo!!  Wasn't even hungry!!  At least I made Trina laugh a lot during our lunch!!

After lunch we made our way up to the other end of town and Trina was still moaning about the amount of bags she had, I did help out I hasten to add ~ considering I wasn't carrying very much ;-)

We eventually finished in town and had a nosey at the new ice rink that's been constructed for the xmas period.  It didn't look that busy which I was quite surprised about as it's the 2nd day it was open I think!!  There was quite a queue for the other ride that had been put there.  I can't be bothered to describe it for you, as there is NO way I shall be going on it!  We got a taxi back to mine, dumped the bags off and headed up to the Range.  Trina wanted to get her wrapping paper there and watching her struggle to the till with her purchases was soooo funny!!  But then she moaned about how far it was to walk back to mine...............................

Wayne joined us later and we had fish and chips for tea, that amused us all as the owners of the shop have a pretty outgoing personality and were teasing Trina about her veggie burger.  (Trina's not coming across very well in this entry ~ sorry hun xx)

After having something to eat we got back into the car to find a pub called 'The Exeter Spot'.  None of us had ever been there but I'd heard and seen about this band that were playing there and had sent Trina a link to their website and we decided we should check them out.  We found a parking space after driving around half of town trying to find one and had a bit of a walk to the pub.  It was attached to the football ground.  It looked a bit crowded but we ventured in anyway.

We got ourselves some drinks and started panicking about the bands.  There was a banner on stage that said 'Kiss This' so I mentioned it to Trina and figured it was probably a Kiss tribute act.  None of us are great fans of Kiss so we were a bit worried, but everyone was nice and friendly in the pub so we thought we'd see how it went. 

The first band on were indeed Kiss This, but they weren't a Kiss tribute act.  Songs they did included:  Don't Stop Me Now, Parklife, Baggy Trousers, Objection, Mr Blue Sky, Kids, and loads more...........They were really good, not Wayne's cup of tea but I think he still enjoyed it!!  I had seen a poster by this point which advertised the event and the band we had come to see were playing as well *phew*  The funniest moment of the night, Kiss This were about 2/3 songs into their set and the electrics blew LOL it was really funny but a bit tedious waiting for them to get it sorted again.

After their set was over and the stage was changed over ~ Cover'd came on stage.  I doubt they would appeal to most of you but I knew Wayne was going to enjoy it.  They did songs by The Beastie Boys, Rage Against The Machine, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Electric Six, Billy Idol, Led Zepplin and tons more that I just didn't know!!  It was so rocky, there were headbangers, people taking their shirts off, moshers it was great fun!!  I had absolutely no energy left from the days shopping so I didn't dance around as much as Wayne and Trina :(  but it was still really good!!  The guitarist was awesome and we've all agreed we are going to see them again :)

After the show finished I plucked up the courage to go and talk to this woman who I'd seen and recognised from MySpace of all places *shakes head* LOL.............I had been worried about talking to her but she turned out to be really sweet and so easy to talk too!!  She recognised me from Queen events and it's coz she's friends with a girl I used to write to back in the good ol' penpal days.  She's engaged to the bass player of the band so hopefully we may meet up again and have a few beers :-)  I was trying to convince her to come to the convention.............

We walked back to the car and it was raining by this point and they dropped me off at home.  I asked Trina to text me when she got there.  About 20 mins later I get a phone call ~ freaked me out it did.  They'd hit a fallen tree and smashed the windscreen :(  Luckily they were both ok but quite shaken.  They did make it home after that though :)  bless 'em!!  I felt quite guilty after that!! 

I didn't sleep a wink, maybe for about an hour.  My neck and ear were killing me, I couldn't calm down it was like I'd taken something (I hadn't I hasten to add) so I decided at 5ish to give up trying to sleep and read some of my mag.  After a trip to the loo, I decided I had to try and get some sleep.  The wind and rain weren't helping though!!  Grrrrr.................I must've dropped off in the end though coz I woke again when my alarm went off.

Today I've done nothing!!  No energy LOL  It was a wicked night and I hope we have more like it but let's have no more crashes.... ;)
